US Wings order placed

Post by rebelgtp »

well I have just ordered my second Indy Jacket  . My first jacket was a Wested horse hide that I ordered and got about this time last year. Well this year I decided I wanted a goat skin, with the shortages for Wested I thought I was going to be SOL...I finally decided to take the plunge on one of the US Wings clearance jackets in goat skin. Just got off the phone with Sgt Hack and he said it would be out the door and winging its way to me as of Monday 8) . Once it gets here I'll be sure to take some shots of it along side my wested horse, I have a feeling this will be becoming my daily wear leather jacket

Keep in mind, Monday is a U.S. Federal holiday, so it may or may NOT be 'winging it's way to you monday'....but either way, they do ship fast.

Looking forward to the report.

HIGH regards! Michaelson

Question: How does one get in touch with SGT Hack? Can any one pass along an email or phone number? I have some questions about Indy VIP Cowhide his telephone opereators (not their fault) cannot answer.

If your jacket was shipped via UPS, it could be on it's way tomorrow (Monday). I just received an automated call from UPS stating that a package from U.S. Wings that requires a signature would be delivered tomorrow (Monday). ;)

Many thanks, Micahelson!

- I'll drop SGT hack and email shortly.
- As I recall, there are some real fans of the WINGS VIP Cowhide at COW
- I'm looking for an Indy jacket will be a bit heavier in weight than the goat.

Cheers- Feng

I'm one of those fans, and the VIP is exactly what you're looking for then...

Well tonight seemed to be very fulfilling. after dinner I cracked open a fortune cookie with the message "Beautiful things await you" about 20 minutes later I got a call from UPS saying that I will have a delivery made tomorrow from US Wing   . Looks like Sgt. Hack was true to his word and got the jacket out right away! I have a busy weekend planned but I'll try and get pics up of the jacket this weekend. So lets see I placed the order last Saturday about an hour before they closed up shop for the day, and in less then a week I'm receiving it and that is with Monday being a holiday!

well my cookie was right...the jacket is a beautiful thing...sadly though it is far to small :( ...so back in the box it went, going to see if sgt hack will swap it, if not it should be going up here. funny thing is if you look at their sizing chart it said the xl should be 46-48 size and from what others said they found the xl quite large, however this one seems to be quite small almost like it was about the size of what would be a 44 or so (this thing makes my 48 wested look huge by comparison). makes me wonder if it was mislabeled.

It is VERY possible that it was mislabled....trust me!

I measure 48, and I "should" have the XL, but the Large I just got fits me fine...the first leather jacket I have ever had that does! I have NEVER gotten a jacket or shirt that was too small...if anything, they have all been too large and oversized (like my 48 Wested! ).

Call or email them and get an RA#. Tell them that it's too small and make sure they check the jacket when it gets to them to see if it was labeled correctly. If it is labeled correctly, THEN order the next size up. If it is NOT labeled correctly, it's on them to ship you the correct jacket with no additional shipping (been through all this before).

Ooh, I just saw that this was one of the "clearance" jackets...is this one of the foreign made ones? That may or may not complicate things...

Send the inquiry directly to the attention of Sgt. Hack himself at:

info@uswings.com

and tell him you're one of us, and tell him it's regarding a clearance jacket that is to small.

email sent to sgt hack. hopefully i'll hear back from him tomorrow. it bums me out that the jacket is to small, it really is beautiful and quite honestly the goat skin used makes my old cooper a2 look like garbage. i'll be interested to see if it was mislabeled or if the sizing is really just that far off. but yeah we are talking a good bit of difference from my wested, i mean i couldn't even get the two sides of the zipper anywhere near each other  . it was also a good bit shorter. kinda reminded me of when indy pulls on that german soldiers uniform and it was WAY to small

my original jacket wasn't a VIP it was one of the clearance jackets  . and seeing how nice the leather is on that jacket I would love to see one of the VIP ones in person.

Ah, I had forgotten. The VIP is actually a bit softer than the goatskin, if you can believe that.

once i get the jacket back i'll be posting a pic of it one with my wested hh, and the other will be with my cooper a2 to show how much better the leather grain on the uswings jacket is over it  . i wasn't expecting anything near that quality from the clearance jackets!
