BRAND SPANKING NEW WESTED!!!! How to get used to it!!!
Hey Y'all... Just got my 1st Wested LC Style. Since I have only ever worn large coats, I am woried that the Wested might be a tad too small. Is it supposed to fit more like a glove? I ordered a 42" XLT, but the tag only says XL. I have never had a custom set of duds made, so should it feel like a glove or??? Just do not want to be the fool who thinks the coat fits but everyone who see him in it knows it is too small and thinks he looks like a dork. Thanks. CB

Thanks for posting these pics. The length look good. It's hard to tell with these two shots but the center back to shoulder looks a little to big for you.
This could be just a little bit and may work out to make room for something heavy to wear under the jacket. Can you post a shot (closer)?

Perfect fit , my friend! One thing about these jackets, some may disagree, but I'm rock solid on this-these jackets don't quite look right in clothes other than Indy gear,,button up safari type shirt and taupe or khaki style pants. I think you might be questioning how it looks because of the jeans and shirt you're wearing in the pictures. Get in your earthtone gear, and the jacket will be spot on! Trust me! A small detail to some, but it makes a HUGE difference in the appearance of the jacket! Then post those pics for us!

Sorry Friend. That is as far as I go. While Indy is one of my all time heros, I don't do the dress slacks @#$%. Just heavy denim for me. Not meaning to dis any of you who do, (and who look smashing I might add!)but not I. I love the coat and might wear the shirt, love the hat on Ford, but always wear large brim American hats. I gave that all up (except for the jacket!) 20 years ago! I would love to go to a summit, but would stick out like a saddle sore! Thanks for the kind words. My new hat will be very simmilar to this http://www.randhats.com/cgi-bin/randsca ... d=tbpjM6IR but made by a local hatter and in a stone color. This is the smallest brim I have ever wore. http://www.randhats.com/cgi-bin/randsca ... leman.html this is the type I have worn for years. BTW, what part of the world are you from? Regards. Although I do agree that the jacket does look awesome when worn in total Indy panache I have to admit that my lambskin Wested gets worn in a wide variety of dress style. The first thing that struck me when I received my lambskin jacket was how light it was. For a split second I was almost disappointed. The reality turned into I was wearing it a lot more than I had though I would be able to - even indoors - due to it's lighter weight.
At work there are many days that I don't ever take the jacket off as our main headend is airconditioned to about 63-65 degrees. Depending on the work I have going on for the day I might be in business shirt and tie, t-shirt, jeans and sneakers or something in-between. If I don't have the jacket on for whatever reason someone usually makes a comment as it has definitely become a part of me.
However you choose to wear it - make it your own!

Why what part of the country am I in?? Do I have an accent?
Yep, like I said, some will disagree . Basically, the jacket just looks a little too vintage for modern clothes, and styles. Oh, it'll work as a regular jacket if you really want to wear it, but the smaller and shorter style just looks better in the gear. Even if you wore TAN jeans and the lighter color shirt, it would look more 'right'.
The color also has a lot to do with it. When I got my new U.S. Wings, it was WAY too light to look right with Indy gear, and looked better with the colors of other clothes, blue jeans and the like.
But hey, to each his own, I was just offering my 2 cents
