My New/Old WESTED...is here!!

Post by IndyTaz »

:D G'day folks,

After much trial and tribulation. (Having no cash in otherwords) I have aquired a nice second hand Wested from our very own obi1AL!!! It is a near perfect fit. (When I lose some weight it will be:)

A little love on this jacket but that's ok as I wanna weather and throw on a dummy (I don't mean myself either Erri...LOL)

It's umm, lamb ,a Raiders and all mine.....now I know what everone was raving about! So comfy. I'm a gunna wear it out tonight:) I think it's a 44. I just gotta figure out how to get the slider bits right....now where's that thread....VP?

I really need to find a decent Indy head for the dummy body I will finally display it on when I get pants and shirt and shoes.

Wonderful jacket, Taz! I've gotten the same look out of my sliders, and I find that with a lambskin, it's easier to reverse them. With my old goatskin Wested, I needed a pair of pliers!

congrats on the jacket taz....looks great! the good thing is you don't have to wear it in. it took a 3 days or so for mine to "attach" itself and drape properly. nice acquisition and enjoy it.

cheers

Yes, I have...

http://www.strapworks.com/Metal_Loops_p/ml.htm

You want four, flat-black anodized 1" metal loops.

I recommend buying a few extra of the rectangular sliders. They're very cheap, and I managed to mangle a couple before I got the hang of bending them correctly to replace the D rings.

But then, maybe that's just me

Great looking jacket IT! I'm in the same situation, I really like my lambskin that I got from another member here(DougC).....the only alterations it needed was shortening the sleeves an inch or two....supposed to get it back tomorrow, can't wait!! :D 8)
