I guess you re crazy.
The lining is what you see on the right side of the zipper and it's brown as is the jacket.

That's because his jacket has no leather facing inside the zipper, the cotton lining goes right up to it.

I see brown too.

I know for a while folks thought his JACKET was black as that's how it looked in the Temple when he first saw the idol. That was argued back and forth for a long time until better picture scanning was possible.

I believe it was _ who first came out with really detailed photos of the jacket in the film.

Indy's jacket lining almost looks black also in a couple of scenes of Last Crusade. I'm sure this has been mentioned n' talked bout' before, but I kinda notice it in:

1.) the motorcycle chase close-ups when Indy n' Sr. are talking together,
2.) The tank scene when Indy slams Colonel Vogel's head down one last time as Indy stares right ahead into the camera before trying to get off the tank before it goes over the cliff.

Has anyone got any good pics of these two scenes by chance? Was the Last Crusade lining black or just look look black due to the lighting, as well?

Here is the link to that picture..now you cant say that lining doesnt look black! look at it compared to the brown fabric on the zipper

i'll agree that its very, very dark....but all this talk with grey/brown clipper hats and natural tan/saddle tan whips and taupe/dark khaki trousers has messed my colour perception up. look'n at my AB hat, the ribbon looks black compared to the brown felt but if you take the felt out of the equation, it is appears to be a very dark brown. as for the jacket, i don't know......i see three lights now......

hehehe...that's great! Thanks! (if only I didn't love my current avatar...;)...hmm...saving it anyway, if you don't mind I just might...?)

I see the picture, and I sympathize that it is indeed a very, very dark, very tricksy shade of brown. My brown lining looks like that too.

Everything looks extremely brown in that pic to me, not even a hint of black. Maybe something is up with your monitor?

I don't even argue colors on this forum anymore. I've decided everyone's just color blind until they agree with me!
