For a while I included a sample container of Pecards with each whip, though now I've run out of samples. So, I don't include any extras. With the falls, I tell customers that I'll replace the fall for free, less shipping expenses.
If you really want to get into cowhide Indy whips, I think your best bet would be to follow Bernardo and develop a whip that is cosmetically very close to the Morgan kangaroo whips. It would require study of Morgan's whips, and sourcing quality veg-tanned cowhide.
Below is a pic of a bullwhip a made a few weeks ago from cowhide. I ran all the strands through a splitter to help make the plaiting a little smoother.

James,
I think there's ALWAYS an interest in a nice Indy style whip in cowhide or whatever. Why don't you just go ahead and make one? After all, you don't have to make a full run, do you?
What people like is seeing your work before they buy from you, so it would be a good idea post a few pics of your whip when you get it done. Alternatively, you can also sell it on ebay, and see how much they offer for it.
One other thing, about mind set:
Most of us whipmakers are in this business because we absolutely LOVE to make whips, and not necessarily because we are looking for ways of making a buck.
Whipmaking is very difficult, and you've got to love it to succeed, because it takes determination and hard work to make a good whip. Making some bucks have never motivated me, rather, the desire to become a better whipmaker each day, and make the best possible whip has.
Adam,
To be honest, you whip looks just as smooth as your other un-split whips!
Regards,
Bernardo
