I just read that Peter's cohort in crime at Wested, Gemma, is in the hospital. If someone (Pandora?) who attended the European summit would please fill in the few details you have in this string, it would be appreciated.
I'd like to start this string to wish her the VERY best, and to get well VERY soon. She's done a wonderful job for us at Wested since taking the chair, and she needs to know we ALSO appreciate all she does for us, and is missed!
HIGH regards!!!!
Michaelson

Yes Michaelson it was me. Peter told us. I think it happend last week. She had pain and collapsed in a supermarket. They took her to the hospital and did some examinations to find out what the problem is. First they thought it could be gall stones or a slipped disc (which are completely different things and we wondered why the doctors can't find the cause...). Peter had to ask his daughter to keep the shop open because he called off his attendance at the summit last year and really wanted to come this year.
Gemma was really sorry that she couldn't go to work (what shows that she is so dedicated to her job)...
That's all I know or at least all I can recall from what Peter and Pam told us. I hope they finally found out what's wrong with Gemma. I hope that it's nothing serious and that she gets well soon.

Thank you Pandora.
Not to minimize the importance of everyone at Wested who makes our products, but Peter and Gemma have been our points of contact at Wested for some time, and when one of 'our own' is down, it's important that we support them with our well wishes for a full recovery.
Regards! Michaelson

Yes.. big cheers to Gemma. She did email me today from the wested email address. so, does this mean that she is feeling well enough to be at work? Whatever the case...I hope she gets well first. We can all wait for our jackets to be finished later.

Put another log on the fire, Cratchit, er, uh, Gemma.
Actually, it's good news she's on the mend. Thanks for the update, Peter.
And Gemma, take good care of yourself.

Glad to hear she's doing better. I haven't dealt with her, but the folks at Wested were very helpful when I dealt with them back around '01.
Kidney stuff is nasty business. I've had kidney stones in the past and a kidney infection is no joke. That's potentially life threatening. The good news is that once diagnosed, hitting it with antibiotics ought to help out a bunch.
So, my sympathies on the news, but I'm glad to hear things are looking up.

Just got an e-mail response from her this morning to an inquiry about repairs. This is my first correspondence with her, though, so I didn't bring up the indy forum thread here. Anyway, I guess she's back and working some.

I didn't see this thread until now but I did hear awhile ago someone mention she was out sick.
Glad to read that they found what the problem was and that she's recovering.
Best wishes to both Peter and Gemma.
