Side fasteners
On the Wested's jacket, are the rectangular sliders the same thing as the D-rings but in a rectangle shape instead? I feel like such a moron asking this but I'm planning on ordering my second Wested and don't know what to go with.
They serve the same function as D rings, but the leather straps won't slip out of rectangular fasteners. When I got D rings on my first Wested, they would slip all the time. I constantly had to pull on them every so often to keep them from undoing themselves, and I could not turn the straps around to face backwards (for screen accuracy purposes).
I have had neither of these problems with rectangular sliders, and as I understand it, sliders are more screen accurate.

Hey - I was going to ask the same question: that "buckle" really confused me too. Thanks for asking that question for me!!IndyParise wrote:So, they're the same as the D-rings only different shapes. alright, thanks. On the site it describes it as a "Buckle" and I didn't want something like a belt buckle or like the bag strap buckle.
