I've been looking hard at the Red Wing 1905's. They are similar to the 1908's in many respects AND they are available in the US. They are sold as crepe soles. Is it possible to have them re-soled? If not by the company than would a cobbler possibly be able to add the correct style sole?? What would this run cost wise... that's another question entirely! lol

That's one thing that Redwings has claimed for years....that being that all their boots and shoes are resoleable due to the Goodyear welt inside. It usually costs in the neighborhood of $25 to have a pair of shoes resoled. Depends entirely on the cobbler and your location, though.
