Post by PLATON »

http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse/pr ... pid=416402

Comments: Cotton poplin, nice colors and good price

Also in cotton below

And another one

I don't really like the pocket flaps.
The collar seems nice.

Look how the shirt fits in that pic. They also sell a bag...

I've seen these in the stores and my impression is that the material is a bit too thick, well more than would be ideal. But still a descent close enough for sure, and when it comes to Banana Republic everything will eventually be on sale.

Nice gear guys... I probably prefer the 2nd link of all of them. The thing is, you are gettin a designer shirt for over twice the price you'd pay for basically the same shirt from Cabelas. Nice shirts, but I'd go Cabelas all the way.

I remember when Banana Republic sold nothing BUT safari type adventure gear... It was never quite that expensive though.

Yeah, it was a great store. Then The Gap purchased them and the rest, unfortunately, is history....

Yeah... they seem to be heading back to their roots. They have safari posters up in the stores (I was at the big one in Chicago about 2 weeks ago), they have very nice jackets, and a pretty good leather bag too. All too expensive for me, but things do go on sale.

OOooo I like that shirt, I may have to pick one up, I'd like to find one in stores so I can see how it fits first though... dont wanna have to deal with another "balooning" shirt because it may end up being for "Small" guys vertically but "One size fits all" horizontally, like my LL Bean before I darted it... The stitching on the shirt looks neat too though... good find
