I dressed as Indy for a Halloween thing and some kid said "Wow, he's even got the rope.", refering to my whip. :-k I'll show you a rope... *crack!

I've heard one whispered Indy comment while waring the jacket and had a complement from the old lady next door while mowing the grass in my hat.

I've gotten Cowboy, Amish, Indiana Jones and just recently Johnny Depp (probably due to him sporting a fedora). The best are nice hat and nice lid.

Actually, now (just to confuse people). When I wear the BB hat, I wear my Italian horn and a Crucifix. :D I get alot of confused :? looks.

(for those who don't know what an italian horn is.)

Well, I guess I feel a whole lot better about friends thinking my felt DP outback hat looks like Indy's. It's a lot closer than Indy's fedora is to a top hat.

Truth is, I don't really pull off the fedora well, my avatar pic notwithstanding. My head's the wrong shape or something. The outback hat, now, that works. I wear it travelling, camping, just general adventuring. Never gotten a public comment, but probably because I wear it in environments when you are likely to see somewhat ... rural folk wearing hats as well. Or older folks travelling in panamas and such.

Character recognition is a @#$% shoot these days with young people, for sure. I work with a woman, 24, who honestly doesn't know who Clint Eastwood is.
