Noel Howard Shirt just arrived!!! (pics added)

Post by Erri »

Guys this shirt IS the indiana jones shirt, I don't care if that artist greek-surnamed guy designed the shirts for Raiders, THIS is the most screen accurate shirt ever. I just got it from the post office and I still have to take the camera.
I'll do some shots with the wested next to it since I remember someone wanted a comparison.
The cotton of NH shirt is SOOOOOOOOOO light and ... well perfect for this season, I'm roasting here on my chair, it will be hard to take full gear pictures, but I'll try!
There are some differences with the wested shirt of course (mostly about the measures... like pocket sizes etc) but the main noticeable one is the colour. The wested is lighter colour (although it has been washed many times while the NH is just out of the plastic).
Ok ok enough of talking... pictures soon

Don't post if you don't have pics. And please other guys, don't overuse the stupid "This Thread Is Worthless Without Pics" smiley.

In this picture

you can see how an authentic brown lamb jacket can look dark brown, how you can't see grooves where they are, how a khaki shirt can look "STONE" and brown trousers can look "taupe". Amazing the tricky effects you can get behind a camera (or videocamera) aren't they?

well you missed the page on the main website

http://www.indygear.com/contacts/noel.shtml

here is everything you need including his not-secret email  btw this is it: NHowardUk@aol.com
VP wrote:Your brim looks a bit flat, BTW. It looks like it isn't turned.
well that's someway true. I turned it but not as much as it would need just because the bow would have moved too much on the front (and that wouldn't have been raiders-esque either). So I opted for a not excessive turn in order to have the bow in the right place

No seriously it's a great shirt and I like VERY much!(who wouldn't! )
It's interesting to see how the light changes the color, in your first pic it looks exactly like in the Pankot palace scenes! =P~

Well, as some of you have now gotten items, it has been told to us that Noel will be offing up his Indy items. We've been waiting for official word to post his list and info (though as erri stated, his contact info is on the main site... who'da thunk it?).

Noel didn't want to be bombarded with orders, as he's now a one-man operation, which is why we've taken our time posting his list. I'll contact him to see if he's ready for us to post it yet.

That's the thing Mike but he's still selling his stuff if someone contacts him interested (canyon and others contacted him and now they have a NH shirt and/or trousers). Sometimes he doesn't answer imediately because very busy, he has some other engagements (don't get excited, it's not Indy4, I asked  ) which keep him busy enough most of the time.

BTW the list on indygear.com has the correct prices, doesn't need to be updated I think.

Man, that's a nice shirt... How much was it incl. shipping taxes and what knows?

Errico, do you own other shirts that you can compare it to regarding quality, screen accuracy etc.?

According to the main site the shirt costs 55 pounds and the shipping is about 25 pounds. That would make it 80 pounds, which is 115.790 euros. We are in the European Union so there's not supposed to be any taxes or customs.

With taxes (the famous british fecking VAT - 17.5% if i'm not wrong) and shipping it costed me 88 pounds all included. Ok ok, it costed to my girlfriend  since it was her gift :P (what a lovely girl I have!!!!)

I own a Wested shirt which you can see in the picture above. The quality is really great, screen accuracy I think is the best you can get. Far better than the Wested but if Peter allows me I could help in improving his shirt.
I wrote something about all this before, Marc, have a look some previous posts

Erri, the shirt looks great. Mr. Howards shirts are definitely necessary for the thinner fans. We are about the same measurements if I remember right. I had to have some more taper cut into the shirts by a tailor to keep the shirt from ballooning at my waist. Will you be doing that as well? Every time the wind blows, my shirt would be flapping around like a party streamer.

So what is next for you?

Yeah, you'll have to get one from Magnoli Erri. :D

Great looking shirt. Wish I could afford one. That's about $160 for a shirt.

That's a good example of the colors too (tan looks stone, brown looks dark brown, etc.) I'd say it looks like the LL Bean tan color or maybe a little lighter. Hurry up and get the paints too. I'd like to see some comparisons of those. :D

hey erri, what are your measurements, and what size did you get?

Shoulders look pretty spot on, but everything looks pretty much standard OTR fit.

But it's a little tough to tell how it fits on the rest of the body - are you that proud of the shirt or are you in the military? That is some pose you have got going there!

fit is the main thing that's preventing me from pulling the trigger. My neck falls right at medium, but i'm think the small would fit better / closer.

oh- and is the VAT tax international or domestic?

 I'm proud of my shirt yes and I'm not in the military  I was just trying the "Pankot Palace pose"

The shirt is a medium with long sleeves (called medium/long)

Regarding the pocket buttons and chest button.

Post by Satipo »

Hi, erri-wan!

Nice shirt! I noticed your NH shirt has a centre chest button which is in line with the pocket buttons, as in Raiders. My NH shirt, which is one of the first he produced, doesn't have this. Just wondering, is this a correction you specifically requested or was it an adjusted feature of later NH shirts?

Noel told me that this is the first of the new line he's making, new improvements have been applied to his shirts for more screen accuracy

They are indeed! In fact You can invite a few friends inside for a party on a rainy day :D

No offense to the WPG though. I wear mine a lot and i like the extra room for many activities. I just thought my Westeds were the tight ones, so if the NH is even tighter I just might start looking like Harrison Ford... Naaaaaa, who am I kidding? I'll need plastic surgery for that :D

Cheers
