Well my friends, I was putting on my wested the other day and had my keys in my hand and as the jacket slipped over my keys there was a nice tear in the liner!!!, now, where the jacket liner meets the sleeve liner there is a 5 inch tear

.... I e-mailed peter at wested and he said it would be about $50.00 to fix.....oh well it's worth it to have my friend in good repair...just thought I would share.

Oh, man, thats some bad luck. Personally, I find some other way to patch the tear. I'd try to find someone local to do it. $50 is an awful to spend on fixing a rip in a piece of cloth.

I am just guessing, but for that price it sounds like Peter is planning on replacing the lining that is torn. That would be the best way, no signs of any kind of repair. Peter is probably the only one that you could get the same material from.

I've fixed gazillions of things with duct tape. Here in Finland it's also known as Jesus tape because it saves the day.

Just be sure to follow all instructions on returning an item for repair. If you don't, Peter will not accept it if it has import duties on it and it will just be shipped back to you.

It reminds me of the handle that a lot of cars have over the passenger window or on the A pillar, that many refer to as the Oh, Jesus! handle.

Hey Indiana Blizzard, is that the cost to repair just the tear or to replace the whole linning?.
If your going to send it back I'd have the complete linnig replaced that way it'll be like new and give you just that many more years of great use.
I sent a disstressed cow back to Wested a few years back as the linning was tearing/shredding up by the collar and in a few other places and when it came back it was like new.
If your going to send to Wested might as well go for broke (literally) and have it completly replace.

blizzard, is it the stitching that tore? If so a local taylor can fix it with no problem and you won't notice the repare job.
