Hello...(Long intro)

Post by FGD »

Hi Everyone,

I've just recently got interested in fedoras. (Now I don't go out of the house without one) It all started of course with wanting an Indiana Jones hat. I didn't know where to find one and told my wife if she could find one for a christmas present that would be great. Well I bugged her for a couple of weeks about it, then one day she told me I would look really stupid in one, so I sort of gave up on the idea. Well it turned out she just said that to throw me off, because she found one for me. Boy did it work, I was really surprised to open that christmas present. Now it wasn't an Indy fedora, it was a western style, not a cowboy hat but not a fedora either. I really like it but still wanted an Indy fedora. I bought an "Offical" indy hat, thinking that would be the one, well it looks O.K. but as you all know it isn't very accurate. I also bought a Royal Biltmore that is Sage Green and gave it a indyesque bash and put a black grossgrain ribbon on it. Although it also is not an indy hat, it is my favorite and the one I wear most of the time.

Anyway, sorry for the long intro, this is a great site, and who knows once the bank account cathes up maybe I will finally get the indy fedora, I started out wanting, now that I know whats out there.

Welcome to Cow.
Which "Indy Fedora" do you think you'll get into?
We'd love to see pics of the hats you have already.
Good Luck

I'm in Paris, Ontario.

Here is a pick of me in my green fedora and Old Navy close enough shirt and a pair of Old Navy pants.(Sorry for the poor quality) Maybe I could call this one Indiana Jones and the Adventures of Dog Walking. Complete with the golden frisbee idol.

Here is one of me in my "Official Indy Hat"

Don't worry about them, FGD. I offer a great class on how to defend yourself against fresh fruit...

Well I'm not too worried, in fact I may even volunteer for a couple of peltings. See I'm thinking the money I can save on groceries, can be put towards some new gear. I would love to get a whip and a bag next.
