Safari shirts coming back in style?

Post by Floribama Steve »

I've noticed recently that more and more people seem to be sporting epaulets and double pockets on their shirts. It's mainly among rock bands, namely Third Day, Relient K, and Hawk Nelson, but just yesterday at church I saw a fellow wearing a safari shirt that could pass for a close enough Indy shirt.

Anyone else noticed the trend?

There was a thread a while ago with a blurb from a fashion magazine, stating that due to the Indy DVD's, that the safari shirt was coming into high fashion

Definitly over here in the UK - but slightly mroe stylised to fit modern culture, with patches and things sewn on and in varying colors.

Who cares? I've worn a Serengeti Safari Shirt from Cabelas almost every day since summer started (yes I have washed it, and yes I have more than one, thanks).

I kind of prefer it when Indy-fashion isn't fashion at all. Makes you feel kinda different.

It's a shame Indy never made an appearance on Super Friends. On second thought...

I wear one almost every day to work unless I need to dress more formally for some reason. Otherwise I haven't noticed an increase in the general population.

I was going to mention that Old Navy has a pretty close and affordable Indy-esque shirt. It's light cotton and looks pretty darn good. Anyone else spotted this?
