A possible new jacket manufacture?

Post by Tycoonman »

Have any of you guys seen this jacket. It looks pretty cheap, but just wondering if you had seen it or not. Also the price isn't to bad, just depends on if it is a good jacket or not.

LOOK HERE

well for one thing, they ripped that photo off of Peter's site. I'd show you the real pic, but Tone already posted it.

so it seems likely that they're scamming because either they're buying that jacket through Peter and sending it to you (in which case they'd be losing money because the price is so low) or they're just ripping off photos of good jackets to take your money. Don't buy it. :junior: -IJ

Edit: Darn it Tone, you beat me to it!

I wouldn't have bought it, I already have a jacket. Just was getting this out there.

Is what they are doing legal though? I mean they are selling a false product, and used some one else's photos while selling their product.

Anyways, good eyes their you two. Didn't realize the similaraities till you mentioned them.

This particular manufacturer seems to be found about twice a year.

It is indeed a 'knockoff', and from the correspondence I've had back and forth with the owner, when asked directly about his jacket and that of Wested, he disappears from radar like smoke in the wind.

As I recall, Peter even threatned him with a lawsuit a few years back regarding his use of the photo, and his description....and he pulled back.....for a while. Looks like he's still out there selling these things again.

Buyer, beware. :?

How about we all put in a dollar and get one of these jackets for the archives and really see what they've come up with? I kinda curious.

Seems I'm one of the lucky fellea's this year!

I wouldn't mind throwing in a buck or two, I really do want to see what it is, and it would be good for refrence purposes, more so, what jacket not to buy. Same goes for the Flight Jacket, not to be confused with the Flight Suits Expo.

I wouldn't do it. You would be supporting them this way. This should be enough warning right here. He steals images from Peter and drops out of site when question.

Lets not support this company and be loyal to Peter, who has treated people of COW very well.

Seems like no one like the idea so scrub that!

I'm a Wested fan as much as the next guy, I thought it'd be interesting in the name of research. If it was rubbish we could warn everyone off. If not it could be the dorfman of jackets. ;)

Where this one is known and it has already been well established as a knockoff, KT, speaking for myself, I can think of several things much better to spend my hard earned bucks on for research than this turkey.....like ANY of the Magnoli clothing items that I don't own...

I KNOW there were actual pics of this jacket posted here somewhere. (VP, where are you!!! ) It looked like it was made from upholstery vinyl and it had an inverted shoulder seam, like a suit jacket. And even that wasn't done well. The shoulders were puffy, like a poet shirt.

I made this comparison pic. Ripoff on the left and Wested on the right. That guy is up to no good.
