So..finally got my Endicott's bag...

...and it's in great condition, even though I only got the "Very Good" one.

Smells like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

I've got a question for all of you who've modified one:

How the #### do you get the webbing strap off, without cutting it or the ring?

Any body have pictures of how the leather strap attaches on?

The webbing might have to be cut off depending on how it is attached. Ifit is sewn on, you can just remove the stiching between the area the strap coils back upon itself.

The Indiana leather straps have brass snap buttons I believe, so there should be no problem attaching that to the bag.

Hope that helps!

The guys over at IndyGear.com has a nice sketch of how the leather strap attaches;

http://www.indygear.com/gear/bag.shtml Scroll down a bit.

Use a rivet for permanent attachment, or a Chicago screw if you want to be able to move it.

Get yourself one of the Tapco straps. No assembly required, it just pops right on.

I cut the cotton strap off of my original MKVII and saved it. Some people tuck it into the bag, because they don't want to cut it. Why, who knows? Lotsa reasons. There are pics on the link that Swindy gave you that will give you a good idea of what to do, just scroll down.
