eBay listing...folks, are THESE brown or orange?!?!

Post by cliffhanger »

Ok, the last time I saw some Aldens, they looked brown, but I think the concurrance was that they were orange. What about these babies? I REALLY want a pair, but I also want them from eBay, as they will be cheaper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! Peace,

P.S. Also are sizes 8C and 7 1/2C, respectively.

Looks like the dealer is seeling off sizes (widths) that are not big sellers. "C" width is not popular. Standard is "D" in a dress shoe and usually in a work shoe "E" is common. Great deal if you have a narrow foot.

The 10C is definitely the older brown color. What a shame, one size too narrow for me.

Cursed big feet... I'd need a 12.5 to 13 with an Alden... yar, best keep looking...

I'll admit, those look orange, but the alden website only has a B&W picture last time a checked. Odd...

The color in the third pic looks off to me. The laces look red. It'd be nice if he had a more steady hand during the photo shoot.

Ditto on that one. I have a pair of used boots that is 9 1/2 D, so the 10 Cs are a possibility.

I know that the 405s run a size larger than other Aldens, but are the widths pretty close to other shoe makers? I may still wait until I have an orthopedist measure my foot.

Peace,

P.S. Did you notice how the seller advised going to IndyGear.com to get info on the boots? Whether or not they are Indyfans, I think it's neat how the site is quoted on eBay.

Aaron once you wear a size 15, let me know, then we can talk about big feet.
