Aldens and Jeans?

Post by IndyChaos »

Hello everyone,
First, I have to say that I am new to the forum in an official sense, but I have been reading the banter for some time now. First-time poster; long-time lurker, you could say.
Anyway, I am on the verge of making the plunge and getting some Aldens, but I am concerned they will not look good with the jeans I wear just about every day of my life, and I would prefer not to buy a pair if they look goofy in jeans. I know this was discussed before, but if anyone has any pictures, I would appreciate them along with your input. Thanks a lot.

I wear my Aldens with jeans all the time, and they don't look "goofy". Once your Aldens break in, they will look just fine with some jeans. I'd take a picture, but there's no one around to take it. Just trust me, I've owned my Aldens for about 6 months now, and they look fine. Welcome to COW. :)

[EDIT]: I forgot that I have a really big mirror.

Aldens go very well with jeans - you don't have to worry about that. Welcome to the board, Chaos!

Thanks. Cool avatar and all, but someone's gonna bust you sooner or later for the size. Avatar sizes are only allowed to be 100x100 pixels, max.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been trying to get it smaller, and I just assumed it looked big to me. I've been using Imageshak to upload it, and it doesn't seem to make it the right size. Any pointers? Like I said earlier, I am painfully new to these things.

No...just a quick re-size. I cut off a little bit to make it easier.

I vaguely recall Fedora saying he cut grass wearing shorts and his 405's. Now THERE'S a visual image that I find MOST disturbing.

Harrison Ford wore'm for years with his jeans before he'd even heard of Indiana Jones.

My favorite jeans are Levi 527's. IMO the Aldens look great with them!

Those are actually my jeans of choice as well, so this is good to hear. Do you have any pics, especially profile shots? I'm interested in how they look from the side as I have not seen that view in either jeans or khakis. Thanks,

I just returned to this thread,,my apologies, I thought that pic was going to be o.k. The movie it was from was not even an R rating and it was a comedy with somewhat decent comedians. Sorry,,

That picture has been posted on this forum a bunch of times, if you are talking about the one of Harrison Ford. (Note, it was a speedo and not a thong.)

Apparently TR posted a not-so-pretty pic later, which we didn't get to see.

I'm really glad I came to this one late... And if I were you, I wouldn't buy Aldens if they didn't look good with all of my clothes except dark suits. Keep 'em nice so you can wear 'em out to dinner/church.
