Cablela's close enough Jackets

Post by Ark Hunter »

Cabellas has this Bush Pilot jacket in distressed lamb and distressed cow, plus the cow is on SALE right now for $140! The regular on the Lamb is some what less than a real Wested. You might want to go ahead and save for the real thing if you want lamb. Just thought it might be a close enough option for some one.

Looks good if you can put up with the different cuffs etc. Thanks for letting us know.

At least the cuffs aren't elastic.

There is nothing wrong with elastic cuffs or waists; the A2 is an incredible jacket. Elastic is just not good for an Indy jacket. In fact, it's downright terrible.

However, nothing keeps out the chill like elastic.

Hem, the wool elastic cuffs on an A-2 are classy looking. I never liked the look of an elasticized leather waistband. It cheapens the look of the jacket to me as that style waistband was really popular on vinyl jackets. But that is just one man's opinion.

Yes, and one's man opinion I entirely agree with. It seems also to be very modern and better suited to hipster wear.

It's just that around here, some folks might discount a nice A2 or similar, simply because it had elastic cuffs and waist. I know you are not in that mind set considering your collection of vintage leather jackets. :D
