I'm truly envious of some of you folks who can go and 'pick up' your custom made items directly from the maker. The best most of US can do is sit by our mailboxes and wait for the mailman. :(

Looking forward to the report!!

High regards! Michaelson

Finally got my jacket. What an adventure it was. So I get there around 10am or so and put the jacket on to make sure everything is good. Sadly, when they were putting the collar on, it was cut abouth a half inch too short. Good thing I went there nice and early to pick it up (Wested opens at 9:30), the gentleman that was helping me said it'll be fixed by 2. Phew, what a relief. I thought i'd have to have it sent to me.

Back to London I went and roamed around a bit then back on the train. It was the hottest day of the year so far, 26-27 degrees C, and I didn't want to spend money on a taxi to Wested and back so I walked. 30 mins each way twice. Wasn't prepared for that at all. I dont' mind walking, but when it's in the heat and you're doin the same thing twice, it's a bit bothersome.

It was all worth it in the end though. I present my first Wested. 5 or 6 years of wanting one and I finally got it. Glad I waited, as back then i'd had to have the Jacket shipped home to Canada and wouldn't have been able to pick it up. Excuse the front pic, I dont' know why it came out blurry and the back on didn't. I'll take another and post it up when I get the chance. (Excuse the room-it is a dorm room after all) Let me know what you think of the jacket. It's a mix of movies, not specifically a raiders in authentic lamb. Some of the softest hide i've ever felt. Wested:check, Fedora:next on the list

I took more pics of how to get to Wested this time. Easier to follow. If anyone would like those posted, just let me know.

Congrats on your new jacket! From what I can see, it looks great! Er, by the way, any one else see what kind of appears to be the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra superimposed over the front of Frosst's jacket???

That is a nice looking jacket. What version is it? Raiders, TOD or LC?

Yeah, if that little "image" on the photo is from a camera goof then that's pretty weird considering the shape it took. It does look like the headpiece.

Strange.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll get mroe pics as soon as I can. The jacket started off as a raiders. I liked the collar shape the most on the raiders. It's standard cut not 80's. When I was there talking with Peter, we decided on the length of the jacket, the sleeve length and any other details like LC inside pocket, extra pocket, stiching, etc. I got the rounded storm flap so that along with the collar, makes the outside most like a raiders. I didnt' go there wanting Harrison Ford's jacket, I went there to get a jacket for me. Length, look, etc., all had to be what I wanted and what looked good to me. It's a nice mix of things.
