I caught the ending of TOD last night on AMC. Indy & Co. make it back to the village with all the kids. There are some shots of Indy talking to Willy and he has his whip coiled around his shoulder. I can't see where the handle ends and the thong begins. The handle also appears to bend around Indy's body just like a shot loaded snake whip would. Am I seeing things, has anyone else noticed this? If not, it's worth watching the flick again just to make sure.
Regards
Prescott

The same thing with the LC B poster, it looks like there's not handle, or is there?
Take a closer look at that poster and you'll see that the handle is behind the rest of the whip that is wrapped around his shoulder. I could very well be the same thing with ToD. It could have been shot at just the angle that you don't see all of his handle, to where it appears as a snake whip. I guess once we have the DVD we'll be able to take a closer look.
In any case, good eye Prescott.

Just to be clear guys, David Morgan was the sole supplier of the whips for trilogy with perhaps one exception being the Swayne, Adney & Briggs whip supplied for the River Phoenix scene. All the whips were bullwhips. David Morgan made approximately 30 bullwhips for the trilogy. He made zero snake whips.
So I would agree with the consensus so far that it is just probably an angle to the camera issue where the handle is not visible.
But you do have my curiousity, I will take a look at the TOD scene you mentioned (but it is no way a snake).
