dillards pants on clearance. UPDATE- I PICKED UP SEVERAL!

Post by Texas Raider »

The 'close enuff' Indy pants are on sale at the Dillards store for $9.99. I don't know if it is on the website, but I found them IN the store for that much. In the 'saddle' color as well. Plenty of sizes available. These are actually the pants I have on in my picture with Karen Allen in that thread. I've had those for some time now, on plenty of hikes and are still in great shape.

Really!

Wow, that is a good deal. I doubt their listed on the site anymore. I checked a while ago and they weren't on it.

Dang! Blues got me a pair a while ago and it turned out they had a rip in the lower pant leg that he didn't see when he picked them up from the store. I was hoping to buy another pair but then they ran out of my size!

They're really good Indy pants for $10.00. Thanks, TR.

HA! I like the little rewrite of that particular scene, very funny!

I think that Tone was just saying that those are common sizes, not that he wanted some in both sizes.

Actually, I think he was. :?

I'm really strapped for cash at the moment but see if they do have any size 36X34's in saddle tan still left.

That hole in my pants leg still bothers me and I swore I'd get another pair if I found them.

I know that Tone has some of these pants, so he knows what size he wears. He most likely wouldn't be ordering two different sizes unless he was ordering for him and someone else.
...there were only remnants of odd sizes. - None of which were the specified sizes I know people have been looking for.

TR, did you see large amounts of common sizes? 34X32s? 36X34s?
Seems to me that he is talking about sizes of pants to fit other people.

Hey Tone, if you are trying to get some pants, you better clear this up, quick.

Alright, folks! I picked up 13 pairs of these pants, here are the sizes, remember though, Tone and Pitfall were first in line, so they get the size that they want first (only fair  ) Buff, I'll take another look for yours, but for right now, this is what I have. Please keep to 1 pair each for now,if there's dupes, your welcome to more if you want 'em after everyone gets a choice

33X30- SOLD
33X32-
33X32
34X29
34X29
34X34-SOLD
34X34-SOLD
36X29
36X31
36X32
36X32
38X29
38X30

Please take dibs on them here on this thread, please no more IMs, as I'm too lazy to sift through my messages and my inbox is close to full
Remember you can alter these easy if they are close to your inseam. I still have a couple more stores possibly to check out for other sizes. I'll just return what doesn't get taken, so no biggie

$9.99 is the price, and shipping of course

Huh :-k ...looking at those sizes, it appears that the only ones in luck are the ones with short legs or someone that is perfectly square. #-o

Unfortunately, I am neither. I have long legs and I am in shape. Round is a shape isn't it?

Since nobody else is really grabbing these I would be interested in taking one or both of the 34x34's. I have a few questions though. Just from looking at these, do they look like long or short 34's? I know that this is an odd question but some pants run shorter or longer in the same inseam. Also do these pants have cuffs? Thanks.

Montana, these seem to run just a bit on the long side, definitely NOT on the short side. And no, they don't have cuffs.

One pair of 34X34 is yours if you want it. That takes care of both of those. The other is sold. P.M me for the pay info.

I'd be interested in a 36x32 if you have any left. Just a few questions....

Can you provide a link to the Karen Allen photograph you mentioned in your starter post and do you take Paypal?

I'm still miffed that there aren't anymore 36x34's floating around somewhere. I really like these pants and the color and I have looked everywhere for something similar and I can't find anything. They have Docker's with the pleated front and the pocket flaps but the color is just a slightly darker kaki.

If I want some more Indy pants I may not have a choice unless I spend a lot more and get some from L.L Bean or something.

Gator, there were plenty of size 40 waists, I just didn't pick them up. If you want, I'll check when I return these and grab em if they are 40X32 .

Pitfall, there is always the Wal-mart pants, $14.99. They are spot on, just without the pocket flaps, but that is an easy fix. The color is perfect, and they are actually a very decent, durable pant.

They are excellent pants, just a quick alteration to add pocket flaps.(buy a couple inches longer for the extra material)

Hello, all.

I'm a total newbie here, been into Indy since the films first came out but have just started getting into the gear.

I'd very much like to get on board with these pants.

I wear a 34 or 36 waist, depending on the brand. How do these run? My usual inseam is 32, but it seems to me that Indy's pants are a little long on him (or is it just that the cut of the pants is rather baggy?).

Anyway, I've been scouring the net looking for inexpensive close-enoughs for some time now, so if there are any left that are my size, please let me know.

Thanks!

I've returned all the pants, as no one needed the sizes. But I can go do a once over and see about a 36X32, as that was a size that there were two of. Do you just want one pair?

TR:

Thanks for your reply. It seems, at this price, foolish not to "stock up" so I might as well get two pairs.

If possible, please pick up a 36x32 and a 34x32. If they have both available, I'll consider it strong motivation to continue pursuing my weight-loss diet. Otherwise, two 36x32's will be fine and I'll just wear them a little baggier when I do lose the weight.

Thanks very much for your efforts in this. I'm hoping that going to Dillards is not too out of your way.
