It will be!
Peter's horsehide is amazing! -Tough as nails and a deep dark brown with a hint of an eggplant hue hazing.

Dark Chocolate and eggplant, actually that might be an ancient mayan recipe ;)

I hope you like eggplant, there may be some coming your way at various summits. :)

You were the FIRST one to bug Peter for an Indy HH jacket, _.

Glad you're finally in the chute to get one. :D

If I were to order a HH from Wested (down the pike a ways) is it possibe to request the hue? I'm rather fond of the red potoato variety, as opposed to the eggplant variety of HH.

Instead of "red potato" why don't you go for "russet?" Oh... nevermind.

If you spuds are finished, I think I missed a beat...did we ever get to see a horsehide distressed? Hang on, searching...

(EDIT: I mean BESIDES the swatch samples from KT: viewtopic.php?t=16745&highlight=horse+distressed ?)

The problem only relates to Last Crusade jackets made in Horsehide as the press stud has to longer for the zip guard where it is thicker.
Inow have some and have personally studded the _ jacket today ready for despatch

He is offering a horsehide one now??? I must get out of the fedora section more often. Well, I know what my next Wested will be constructed of. I love my Real McCoys horsehide. Does anyone know if the Wested horsehide needs mucho breaking in to get it softer? Thanks. Fedora

Oh, that makes sense. I had to find a bunch of these myself for a project and I could never get any w/ posts long enough to reach the cap.

Ah, well - I know it will be glorious when it arrives.
Good luck with your hh. Yes, it will be glorious.

I got mine last spring, and wore it through the winter. If I could I would wear it through the summer...

I wouldn't say you have to do a whole lot to get it soft. With everything I read about HH before I bought my TOD, I was expecting a suit of armor, but the hide Peter has been using is actually surprisingly soft. It was not uncomfortable to wear brand new, but it took a few months before the creases appeared on the arms, and for it to mold to my shape. Its definately tough stuff, but it breaks in VERY nicely. :D
