What is the difference between the classic leather dressing and the weather proof dressing - brown tint?? I know that the classic dressing will darken up the leather a bit, especially in places where the leather is worn and rough, but the weather prrof dressing - brown tint specifically states that it will touch the color up. So which one do I want for my jacket that has had the authentic brown rubbed off over time in some areas (like the elbows) and shows the rough and much lighter leather? Has any one ever used the weather proof - brown tint? Does it do the same thing as the classic (as far as conditioning) but just colors up the leather even better?
I'm thinking of using the brown tint on the worn areas and the classic on the areas that are not worn.

No one anwers, so I'll take a shot at this. I've used Pecard's Weatherproof brown Tint. It applies and conditions just like the Classic except for the tint. I've never used it on an old jacket to hide scuffs though that is the stated purpose of the product.
I used it on a new FS A-2 jacket to change the greyish seal brown to a truer brown color. The tint is orange/brown or russet color. Other than that I have no other experience. It should work better on covering scuffs than the Classic.

The correct Pecards product to use depends on the leather. You can use the Pecards dressing on the leathers other than lambskin. If you have lambskin, you need to use the Leather Lotion. The leather lotion is water based.

The two Pecards products that you asked about are the exact same thing except one has some brown tint added to it. Once again, if your jacket is lambskin, you do not want to use either one of these products. You need to use the leather lotion.
You say that you have some lighter areas showing through the finish of the jacket. This sounds like a lambskin jacket to me. This is the natural distressing that we all desire so much. Most of us would not want to make this disappear as it makes the jacket look more screen accurate as it is how the costumers distressed the jackets used in the movie to make them appear aged.
