Anybody knows what kind of hat is this?
Now who's the expert that can identify what kind of hat this guy wears?

The color of his not acccurate shirt looks accurate enough I must admit.

This guy's actually come up a couple times before. I tried to do a quick google search, but couldn't find his personal web site. It shows other shots of him in his hat. I thought it was believed to be an HJ, but I honestly don't remember off hand. Give it a bit and VP will chime in with the appropriate links.

There we go! I glossed right over that site in my search. Oh, well.

So I think it's safe to say the hat is a Herbert Johnson. With his background in entertainment he set about obtaining the proper costume, even having the original milner who made Mr. Ford's hat make his (it's even the same size as Mr. Ford's) for authenticity's sake.

He kind of bears a resemblance. Every time I hear things like that, I just kind of sigh. We are not the average consumer, you know. We are the people who pay close attention to minute detail, and very little escapes our vision.
I think he looks a lot like Ford in this shot:
So, when we see a guy like this, it's natural for some of us to think: "Well, he doesn't look like Ford." You know, to the people who hire him, I bet he does. This kind of stems back to my argument about the Dorfman Pacific. Some people are just happy with "close enough" stuff. Whatever they got looks like Indy to them, even if it's an Indy impersonator. It's close enough to remind them of Indy, and to make them happy. Really, what's so wrong with that?
So what that we don't think he looks much like Ford? Like I said, we squint real hard at the screen and go: "Hah! Look at that! A revelation!" These other people don't, nor do they care to, and usually they don't have time or desire to. It's their money. I've seen some TERRIBLE Elvis or Dean Martin impersonators in my time. However, if the person who hires 'em is happy, that's the point. I'm glad they're happy with how they spent their money.
Imagine how cool the person who hires this guy is going to look when Indiana Jones shows up to his function. Everyone will be like: "Whoa, cool. Nice touch!" I'm all for that.
I think his hat has a good Temple of Doom look going on.
