I was just curious if anyone had distressed a Horse Hide Jacket from Wested yet. So far I've seen nearly every kind of leather distressed and the color underneath proves to be different between skins. Valuable info for how a jacket will change its look as it ages.
So what color would come out in a HH I wonder? I'm really curious as I've already been drooling over some of the photos I've seen of these new HH's.
I have a feeling not too many have tried distressing the HH because it is so darned tough or perhaps the thought of altering a new beauty has been too much for most at this point.
I love the tan color I've seen come out in the Goat skin. Just curious if anyone had addressed this yet :

Some pics for you:
In this image the one on top is horsehide the one underneath is authentic lamb, I have rubbed the HH with a metal nail file, it's quite resistant to marking but the underlying colour is sort of fleshy.
In this image the one on top is the lamb and the one below is horse, sort of trying to show the thickness and flexibility.

awesome
Great post KT! That is a very clear pic in both instances. The 2nd does show very well how tough the HH is compared to the softer lamb. Even with the weight on it the HH doesn't want to give much.
The first pic shows the hide underneath nicely. Good to know and this will be a good reference for those ever considering the HH.
