Thanks guy, but since I forgot pretty much everything I ever learned regarding French and Latin, it's only German, English and Danish... Funny thing though: I'm THAT used to talk hat stuff in Englisch with my buddy Steve, that I use the same (English) words when talking hat stuff in German
Regards,
Marc
Give me a little more time and I'll see what I can do.Marc, I'd love to see a picture of your hat on someone's head - especially with a bit of a turn.
Regards,
Marc

hat
I understand and don't blame you in the least.
Here you are:
Remember that it was taken from the mirror, so it's flipped... I'm honestly not sure, if I PERSONALLY prefer a hat with or without the Raiders-turn. After all there are a few shots without a turn in the crown and it simply makes a perfectly fitting hat a notch less comfortable...
Well, just my two cts.
Regards,
Marc

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
I received a note from my felter this morning, that they have finally started on my special made rawbodies Estimated delivery time as of now will be the 10th. of March and I can hardly wait to get started.
After receiving that message, I called up my blockmaker to hear, what he's about. Seems like the blocks will be here within the next two weeks, so I'll be able to make some long promised reblocks, before I start on the orders.
Regards and thanks for your patience,
Marc

TATAAAAA!!!!
Now that is a nice pile of dead beavers!! Don't forget your tetnus vaccination. I can see multiple needle wounds in your future. Not to worry, you will develop callouses on the tip of your right thumb and index finger!! (assuming you are right handed) Thimbles you say? No, no, that is for girly boys and women.
Also some advice, in a serious vein here. While I hear most Europeans are not squeamish about a faint odor of pipe smoke, or good Cuban cigar smoke emanating from their hats, many Americans have hysterical phobias regarding any smoky smell. It may as well be the bird flu. Also, while we both know the late 19th century and early 20th century hats were passed through a smoke bath as a last step in hatmaking, you may want to bypass that step.(just kidding, as we have laughed about this one already, offline) Have fun making those hats my friend, and I can't wait to see some on some heads. Looks like the Mercedes AB is about to debut. As anal as you are Marc, I expect that first hat will take a week to make. I would just about bet that every size 7 1/4 hat that you make will have exactly the same number of lock stitches securing the sweat to the hat. (Marc is that precise, and I kid you not)
Glad you are ready to go. Good luck!! Fedora
Thanks Steve!
Nah, all hats will be made in smoke free environment It's just impossible to tell the guys at the post that they aren't allowed to smoke, should one of my hats be near Kidding aside, I can see why people wouldn't want their hats to smell like a steak house (hmmm... but then again... ), but everytime I got a new hat in the past, I waved it for half an hour over an open camp fire to make it smell "adventureous"! - It adds to the charisma in my humple opinion and takes some of the "too bloody new feeling" off the hat. Mind you - I'm in the Michaelson U when it comes to distressing, but I like the hat to look (and smell) "well loved"
I can see how my right arm will get quite big from pouncing this pile for days and days (shame on you, if you think of other reasons ).
Regards,
Marc

Why yes. 203 stitches to be precisly. Why are you asking???I would just about bet that every size 7 1/4 hat that you make will have exactly the same number of lock stitches securing the sweat to the hat.
