Alden shoes - alternative Alden model?

Post by Indiana_Tom »

Hi there,

I found some Aldens on ebay and now I'm asking all of you who know something about Indy's shoes; is this pair similar to the "original" Aldens used on the movie? Or are they completely inaccurate? The model seems to be #8300 (according to the item description)

Thanks for the help!

These appear to be low top versions, don't they? Neat! Regards. Michaelson

Those are really interesting. I haven't been to Alden's site in a while however, I don't recall seeing those there. (as well as the black 86's that were posted earlier.) I wonder if they have a more current catalog.

Yeah, they are not boots, just "casual shoes". But the color seems to be right and also the price ;-)
I think I'll buy them; they are very similar to the original boots, aren't they?

Thanks for the help,

Just walk in them of go hiking in them. Mine are distressing too fast. But they get better the more I wear them.

Probably the safest thing you could do is just give them a good coating of Fullers Earth first before trying anything else.
