Quality is what all of these jackets represent to me, with the Indy-style as an avenue to that end. I say, buy what suits your fancy, don't waste with arguing 'this is better than that', and wear it well in life and adventure. Obiwampa, well done!

I just received my expedition that I ordered after seeing your photos.

It is a magnificent jacket.

I have one question for any other Expedition owners.

Unless the jacket zipped all the way up, the collar on mine seems higher on one side. Has anyone else experienced this with their Expedition?

It just sounds like it hasn't 'relaxed' yet. Apply some Pecards leather jell to the jacket. You'll find all that will go away.

Yea, mine is the same. All Expedition jackets are the same way. With a lil' Pecards, and a lil' workin' it with your hands, will help it to soften up and relax it a bit. :) .

And don't forget the MK Magic Collar fix:
viewtopic.php?t=3462&highlight=stiff

It WORKS! And there is my variaiton to the MK roll is to do the roll and put a rubber band around the collar in the rolled state. That seals the deal.

I'm glad to see that people are still interested in the Expedition. My goatskin is nearly three years old now and I'm thoroughly comfortable wearing it. It remains one of my favorite jackets because of the fit, durability, and the weight of the jacket. The lambskin that I purchased at the same time sadly still remains unworn with the tag still on. I've just never got around to wearing it. Mostly I suppose because I have so many other jackets and the fact that I was more eager to break-in the goat since I knew it would take much longer, and, although technically the same size, it seems just a tad larger on me. I suppose I'm waiting until I start 'expanding,' which hopefully will not occur for many more years to come.

...oh, I just noticed I lost my 'personality,' er, aviator. I'll have to get to work on rectifying that soon.

I also lost my avatar...how do I re-install it? (I was unable to get into Rabbitooth's website link of pictures to re-do the process all over again). Any tips/suggestions? :?:

Thanks!

That Jacket looks so awesome!! It is 100% better than my crappy USwings VIP. The stitching is perfectly even!! My Wings is the worst stitching possible as is the grain. The grain changes in almost every peace of leather.

I have a question, does the connection of the sliders look like this on the Wested? Or are they stitchover the top of the side? Image

Unless Wested has changed it, yes, as far as I know Wested stitches the straps over/on top of the leather. Whereas the Flightsuits is what you see in the pic above.

This may sound kinda weird, but when I am not wearing my Wested, I lay it down flat on their its back. When you do this, the strap configuration kinda sticks out/juts out, especially if it is a thicker hide such as cowhide or goatskin. It's no big deal and it doesn't harm the jacket none. But, when I purchased my Flightsuits goatskin jacket, I prefer their strap configuration better. It is just one of the many things that I, personally, prefer with my Flightsuits jacket. But, to each his own!

Kindest Regards,
