Distressing

How would you guys rank each leather's ability to distress? First being the leathers abilty to look Indyesque and last being no matter what you do with the leather, it looks the same as when you got it. Thanks.

Wested's lamb is by far the best to distress in my experience. I've read that the goat is good as well. Forget trying to distress the cowhide. You simply can't do it.

Now I don't know much about aging leather jackets but

........it depends on the tanning process and not the type of animal who donated his hide.

The best type I have encountered so far are Wested's lamb from a few years back, and Aero's jerky horse hide. Both Wested and Flight Suits have leather in the works that look promising.

Keep your eye on Indy Gear. I will have reviews before the years end.
