Pocket Knives...???

Post by Indiana Murphy »

Hi Guys,

Apologies if this is a much asked question but - hey, i'm a newbie, so please excuse me. I was wondering if any of you have identified the type of pocket knife in ROTLA that IJ was going to use to cut Marions ropes when she was in Beloq's tent. It would appear to be some sort of antler or bone handled knife ? Any thoughts ?

Murphy,

If you do a search, not only will you find that it has been identified, but you will find where you can get one.

It's a Hubertus. You can buy them from knifeshop.com, direct link.

VP's link also takes you to the exact model that it has been surmised is the most likely one used. ;)

I have seen them around for only $60, but not often. If you don't mind waiting, surf around a bit, and check out other knife sites. This is one of the few sites I've seen with such a complete listing of so many models of Hubertus, though.

I would buy from the linked site. The Hubertus knives that are carried in this country are automatics.

I belive this knife to be the screen knife. It is ok for everyday carry. But, the spear blade is not a good shape if one needs a point.

I missed it if that was ever confirmed from a Raiders prop master. That's still based on screen captures, right? Or again, did I miss some other final confirmation? (Sorry, Agent5, I know I'm stealing your riff here. ;))

Oh boy Jerry, we can't even decide if a grey fedora was used, let not get started on the knife!

All jokes aside though, I have one of the knives in question. Based on what I see on screen I would also say that it is the Raiders knife.

It cant be the knife.
There are no lines on the bolster.
I have also taken screen grabs where the hubertus logo is visible on
the blade. While its very blurry, if the pixels of the image are shifted backward to reverse the effect of the image movement, it looks just like the logo.
Sorry
