I'm not returning the jacket: Im ordering another one!

Post by mantis3214 »

Haha after a few weeks of intense search in and around Boston I have come to the conclusion that a size 40 regular should do the job perfectly, and I have decided to go with goat for the next jacket.

For those who haven't read my old thread, here are some cliffnotes:
-Ordered a 38reg dark-lamb for a Christmas gift for myself.
-It arrived at home and was wrapped before I got home after finals.
-Opened it Christmas morning but it seemed too small :(
-Almost exchanged it for one of another size.

And now, one of my family members would love it... So... Now I am just ordering a new one for myself .

I have a few questions for the new one, now that I have seen the other one:
-Are American zippers extra? The left handed universal was nice but annoying to me as it was different. Does this make it non-exchangeable?
-Should I get the hand-warmers stitching reinforced? Does this make it non-exchangeable?

Thanks so much, hopefully this one will be perfect :)

It might seem weird at first, but you quickly get used to the left-hand zip. After wearing Wested jackets exclusively for the past 8 years, I consider right-hand zipper jackets to be very weird and awkward. :-)

Ya, I bet it isn't a big deal. If I remember correctly you got a goat right? Does it drape/feel well? The lamb I have it just amazing, but it feels really delicate! The goat feels a bit more substantial but I am afraid the goat will be too thick and make the jacket look less (i dont know how to say it but wrinkly comes to mind)?

And whipwarrior, makes sense. Maybe I'll stick with the standard :)

Agreed! I now wear my Wested lamb much more often than my heavier A-2, so when I go back to "American zippers" they feel weird.

Thanks Ragingblues,
I agree with your assessment of the lamb. I like your reasoning in that the goat can be broken down/in while the lamb cannot to be made tougher. I think I'll go with goat, I think it will satisfy me more.

Thanks man,
If you have the time the pics wouldn't hurt. Dont worry hah I know I would be happy with either ;) You haven't pushed me over any cliff, I did that a long time ago and now I am trying to choose the best cushion for the landing. Thanks for the help, it means a lot.

I actually alternate between my left handed Wested and my american motorcycle jacket and have gotten to the point that I'm Abi-zipstrious.... if that makes sense ;c)

No, no. Roll in the hay.

"Vould you like a roll in ze hay?"

Otherwise the double entendre doesn't work.

"Werewolf?"

"There wolf...there castle."

Cheers!
