DOG'ON RAIDERS

Post by PETER »

When I was in Petra in Jordan scene of TOD I let slip to a couple of my fellow tourists that were talking about Indy that I had made the jackets for the film. They in turn told the guide who when it came to the Indiana Jones film called me forward as a so called expert, so now the whole party knew, but it was all taken in good humour.
Now a year later I have had an email form one of the other tourists asking if I could make a jacket, not for her but for her Chiwawa Dog.
The name of the dog? INDIANA BONES!
True story
Cheers

No I have decided to refer her to FS to see if they can make at least one original design which I can then copy!

A custom Wested for a dog should fetch a pretty good price.

How do I work out the price between Chiwawa and Great Dane?
Will they want x box stitching and Gussets.
Does a Labrador have action pleats?
Does a blodhound have an inside pocket?
Will a poodle want authentic brown?
No it's too much to contemplate, and once you start it will lead to indycats and indyparrots. Forget I started think back to the good times on the Queen Mary and that strange falling down water called Gentleman Jack given to me by 9 of spades.

Ah, a new Gentleman Jack convert! MK and I got that put ON the QM, by the way. They had never heard of it when I first went to the ship! It's made about 15 miles from where I'm sitting. The nectar of the Gods!

Oh, and don't bother sending them to FS, Peter. They don't do custom work anymore. 8)

I think the pockets need to be large enough to accomodate bones...

I know THIS Dawg wears a Wested!!! 8)

Peter-if you DO decide to do this, my killer Dachsund would just LOVE to have one, too, my man. (No, he really IS a killer).

Heck, I can't get him to reply to my requests for a size 44 cloth Wested or the washable suede idea, and here he is catering to dog jacket orders. What's Wested coming to these days!? #-o ](*,)

Never mind. I think I answered my own question in my first post here.

Yep-I guess you did

I just wish I had money to spend on another Wested. All this talk about the horsehide has me coming out of my skin to get one. I'd use the extra skin myself, but I don't tan well.....

Later!

You'll have to move further north, Dawg, before you'd even be able to wear a horsehide!

That has to be one of the strangest requests I have ever heard. I know some people like to dress their pets up, but a custom leather coat for dog is a new one.

Hey Michaelson, if you like Gentlemen Jack you oughtta try Woodford Reserve. I discovered that on a work trip to Louisville KY. Its smooooooth 8)

I've want to get my Bogie McJones into an Indy outfit for the kicks of it (He's tried Darth Vader much to his chagrin), but if I ever seriously go about it (meaning I have money to play with-which will probably be never), then I know where to go. Just gotta figure out the hat thing for little Bogie. A local Scottie Rescue group does an annual costume contest for the dogs and I've always thought it'd be fun to dress bogie up as Indy for it.

Ok Ok . So who has sent me an email accredited to indygear.
A lady wanting me to make an indyjacket for her pussy? or rather a cat called Indy. I am reaching for the bottle.
I am NOT making pet jackets, you lot give me enough grief.
Michaelson is first in the queu for a latex indyjacket, extra tight fitting for what reason I shudder to think, and Indydawg wants to me to cover his killer sausage. Another of your countrymen wants a kingsize sheepskin bedspread with no joins. I know everything is big in the USA but a 6foot wide sheep?
I rest my case
Cheers and happy new crazy year.

Further North-

Post by Indydawg »

No kiddin', Michaelson. Here it is, middle of January, its 74 out and we're havin' tropical storms this afternoon.

Have I mentioned how much I miss Athens?

Peter-LOL....I don't know what Michaelson could want with that latex job either, man. Sounds like potential for a good time, though 8) !

but you didn't have to tell everybody about my sausage, dude  !

And what's ITG's news? I know I'm under the grad school rock and living in the boonies now, but what gives here?

Later y'all!

Ah, you laugh at my latex project....but we'll see how things progress with a completely wash and wear Raiders jacket for those who like to hit the road, travel light, and have a jacket they can treat rough, and yet toss in the washer and put back on while on the road. 8)

Stay tuned.
