London and S.E. whip cracking

Post by English Whip Maker »

Hello folks

Putting in one of my rare appearances to post a 'plug' for any whip fans in London and the South East of England, who would welcome the chance tp get in touch with people in their area and do some cracking together.

Over the last few years, there have been a few informal meets in the London area, and I'm keen to see them become a regular thing. I started a group on Yahoo a few weeks back for this purpose. Very small at the moment but I hope it will grow. If you live in our region, feel free to drop by.

The group welcomes anyone with an interest in whip cracking as sport/performance art/hobby, and anyone interesed in Western Arts. I'm hoping that, over time, there will be enough people close to each other to start organising meets in various places around the region as well as in London.

Here's the link: http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/lsewhipcrackers :whip:

And not forgetting Whip Crack UK, if you live elsewhere in the UK and would like to get in touch with other whip crackers: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WhipCrackUK/

Cheers

Dave Good luck, Hope you get a great turn out. You might want to post a note on the Whip Enthusiasts list too. I know there are a lot of whip crackers in the UK that would find a get together like that a great experience.

BTW nice looking whips on your site.

Hi Dan

Thanks for the feedback. Early days yet, and the group is still very small. London's got the biggest concentration of whip crackers in the country, with plenty more across the South East, so I hope that we can at least get regular outdoor practices going in the summer.

Darn! I wish I'd seen this sooner!

I just got back from a two-week excursion into London, and would have liked to meet some UKk folks. I didn't take my whips with me to the UK though. Too many questions in Customs, and I don't want to even think about what the people searching the bags would do to my Strain.

Oh well, maybe next time. The missus and I are already planning our next trip over.

Till then, best of luck with the get-togethers!
