Monogramming

Post by Strider »

I saw Minnesota Jones' FS jacket, and on the inside pocket, he has had a label sewn in that reads: "MN. JONES" I thought that was seriously cool. I was wondering if Wested does this? ITG, don't you have this same feature done on your Wested? I think I saw that on your site.

Just wondering if it's possible to get a "Strider" label sewn in under the pocket.

Their label machine broke a few years ago and it's too expensive to buy a new one. Maybe some local guy could do one. :-k

Yeah, I don't know if Flightsuits still offers this or not. And the others are correct, Wested used to but no longer does. Remember thou, if you do this to a jacket, it's a lot harder to sell, if you're ever selling that is. But yeah, it's a neat touch and I'm glad I did it to mine.

MJ, I love your Heatmeiser avitar! Da da da DAAAAAA da da!

If it had been an option for my Wested, I likely would've done it. I like the personal touch!

Yeah, the dang thing broke just before I got my Wested. :(

Of course, if I was given the option, I would have put my real name in there, not my screen name.

DAD! Don't call me Bufflehead!

How long ago did his machine break down? And is it repairable?

It's been a while, bink. As a matter of fact, the very last leather jacket I had come directly from Peter was in line to have the monograming done, and it went down. Apparently parts are no longer made (at least I THINK that's what they said), and I never got a jacket with one made either. It's been a couple years or more since that occurred.

Regards! Michaelson

Parts, we don't need no stinkin' parts.

I wonder what kind of parts are broken. Even if they are not made anymore, if they are metal, the guys that built my racecar could fabricate new parts. Just depends on exactly what it is that is broken.

And whether or not they have chucked the machine by now.
