Recently Gobler mentioned his pocket flaps were not that scalloped on his first jacket he recieved & then looking at Ragingblues jacket in his pictures, I noticed the same thing.
Ragingblues I hope you don't mind me reproducing your picture here?
Now look at the original jacket from LC.
& now look at my jacket.
The original LC jacket shows significant scalloping of the pocket flaps, which you can see with my jacket pockets as well, although I admit it's not that clear in the pic - & not as scalloped in person as the original in the pic above - so that might be the case of picture angle with Ragingblues jacket as well.
Anyone else found this with the newer jackets?
Ragingblues pockets certainly appear to have a very straight cut & I'm wondering if this is the case, is this a simplification of the cutting process now?
I would certainly like to hear Peter's comment on this

I agree with Fulks entirely; I think it is the distressing around the pockets and the fold in the right pocket that gives it that appearance.
And I must say, Ragingblues and your pockets look identical to my eyes.
It's very difficult to eyeball these things. Measurements confirm what the eye sees. Take a collonade for instance. What are they? A row of perfectly straight columns? It looks that way to the eye, but if you measure them you discover that they bulge significantly in their centers, halfway up, because the Greeks discovered that the eye makes things that are straight look out-of-wack when they are put side by side, and they adjusted accordingly.

Yeah, you can see the scalloping slightly better there in that pic Ragingblues
More pics...
Tone’s jacket has the scalloped pockets on his new dark brown jacket, yet his older & weathered lamb doesn't appear to have.
Indiana Cromeens has a straight cut & his is an LC version I’m under the impressing this was a recently purchased jacket, correct Cromeens?
But then there is BreinederIndy’s jackets, which I believe are quite old Wested’s & have a totally different cut, which appears almost rounded
Does anyone have a screen cap of the pocket flaps on the original Raiders jacket please?
& Gobler, can you show us pics of your new jacket from QM please?
What I'm trying to establish here is:
1) Are the newer jackets (& in BreinederIndy's case some older jackets) cut with a very straight pocket line?
2) What is the most accurate? Especially for Raiders
I'm under the impression these pockets on the original jackets were styled after the pockets on A2 flying jackets, which depending on manufacturer can have SERIOUSLY scalloped pockets!
