What is your thing?
Hi All,
Just thought I'd have a poll of who's a fan purely of Indy gear, and who's a fan of both Indy stuff and vintage clothes in general, and who's a hat freak or fur felt fetishist!
Jeff.

I know what you mean Strider. I started off wanting a leather stetson style hat, then looked at fur felt Akubras, then found the Indy site and realised how much I loved the films
Now I'm going all out for an Akubra Fed, and hope to get the shirt at the very least. Indys' clothes just look good full stop. Whether it be the grey suit or the rough jungle gear, it just looks right.
I got a couple of fur felt hats in the last couple of days that were just too good a bargain to miss, and remoulding them to my liking has also made me fall in love with fur felt. It's such a great material. Feels smooth and soft, tough as old boots, mouldable to your preferences....
I got a an Akubra drover off the net, and am now contemplating whether to cut the brim down and shape to the Raiders pinch. Fur felt moulding is addictive I reckon

I have always been into classic looks: blazers, school ties, v-neck sweaters, tweed. I also always dressed sort of "adventure," if you will: safari jackets, khakis, boots; that sort of thing.
After finding COW, I really got into Indiana Jones. Though I was always a fan, COW made me a superfan! I've always loved IJ and James Bond and Bogart's characters.
As of late, I have been very much into the late 30's and 40's. I have been wearing Spectaters and sweater vests with my Wested et al.
Steve Delk really keeps me in the hobby. I love his hats so much that I keep discovering looks to go along with them. When I got the Gray Adventurebilt it opened a whole new world to me. It's much dressier.
Regards,

Also, I like to keep one step ahead of bink.

I'd need "all of the above" option. Or rather, I think it happened in the order of option 3, which got me thinking about one, both of which led to two, with the result of option four!
First I got a trenchcoat for the retro look, so I figured I needed an oldre style hat to go with it, which led to think that IJ had one of the best looking fedoras of all time, which I ordered, so now I appreciate the quality of good felt vs cheap felt, which leads me to buy more and more hats, trading up from lower to higher quality. It's strange how these things work out...
