me to introduce myself.

Charles "duc" from the coast of Maine.

For years I've been dissatisfied with my Cooper A-2. The leather quality doesn't measure up and the knit cuffs and waist are unacceptable. This past weekend I watched all three Indy films and was thunderstruck by his jacket. It's been what I've been subconsciously seeking for years. In a flurry of, how shall I put it, "work shifted" time at the office, I searched for the original. Obviously I found Club Obi Wan and the stellar reviews of all Wested jackets. Thanks.

I've spent a lot more time at work reading about the various options and can safely say a modified ToD, in dark goat will be on order shortly.

You guys are a wealth of info and it is greatly appreciated.

I'm 42, married, 2 kids in college (one in Texas, one in Halifax), and I manage a department for a pretty good sized construction company with offices from Baltimore to central Maine. I ride an R1150GS when the temp is above 30F. I guess you could sum it by saying, I'm a regular joe.

My posting will be sporadic as I never know when I'll be around a computer. Let me just say, it's a pleasure to be here and I'm looking forward to raving about my Wested when it arrives.

I'll look around for an Avatar when I get a bit more time.

See you around.

Thanks for the tip. I hope my selection isn't already spoken for. If it is, I'll happily select another.

I was checking out the horeshide Aero jacket shown by Bagger's. Very beautiful.

I like the leather so much I would consider the ToD in horsehide. Does anyone know if it is available with horeshide?

Thanks.

Welcome duc! :D

Yup Wested will make you a horsehide ToD. However, the wait may be a while. It seems Wested is having a hard time finding the hides.

Welcome duc!
I am in your neck of the woods quite often. I live in Boston and come up to Maine at least once a month. I lived in Kittery briefly and my dog loves the beach there. I also go to LL Bean in Freeport and the waterfront in Portland quite often.
Enjoy your time here!

Thanks folks,

HJ - I live further up the coast, just north of Ellsworth along the coast; but I work in Pittsfield when I'm not travelling to a job site. Lately I've been spending a lot of time at the office.

Samples from Wested are on the way. I don't get excited about too much, but I'm really looking forward to placing an order. I love high quality purchases.

Have a nice day folks.

pittsfield.... Mass or Maine??
Pittsfield, Maine.

I must say, this is by far the most civilized and friendly forum I've ever entered. Thanks to all for your kind welcome.

I was talking to my wife this am about my good fortune in finding this club, primarily because of my desire to own one of the finest looking jackets I've ever seen. Now that I'm here, I find that I'll not be able to do without a fedora. I feel the slippery slope....

I'll be seeing you around.

Greetings DUC

Welcome. Like you Ihave been searching for the INDY Jacket for years. not until I found this site a couple years ago did I realize how wrong the A2 was. I just recently orderd my Wested. And I'm happy I did.
I wouldn't worry so much how often you post. I've been a member for a 2 years and I've only posted a handfull of times. I find that other people on the site have better skills at writing what I'm thinking. It's a great site we'll see ya around.
