The pants... i'm so happy with them. The 32" was the perfect choice. I am a 33" but wested 32" fit me perfectly! The tissue is lovely!

The shirt... i never had a better fitting shirt in my life! The sleeves are perfect lenght and M is my perfect size

The jacket... i've never felt the goatskin but the lamb is so soft. I really love it. I also love the 80's fit. Sleeves are few centimeters less than they should have been but i think they're ok. I tried some position of the film and they look ok, it's just me usually loving loooong sleeves

I would give A+ if it wasnt for the long time and the many delays... so A- to Wested. Those clothes are really GREAT!

I'm sorry, erri. I don't understand. Did Genna suggest the 32 or being a 33 waist, you didn't want to go the 34 route?

Make sure you are totally happy with the sleeve length though my friend, it would be a shame for them to be too short in a few months time.

It's night here now. i'll try tomorrow, i expected the pants of another colour but i can't still judge because when they arrived there was no sun so i'll say more about the colour only when the weather get good

I've been told that jackets will shorten a bit when wrinkles form in the sleeves. I haven't had that happen, yet.

I know how much trouble you've had getting that!

I had the same thing with the sleeve length on mine (also 80's fit, ordered a week later than erri's, arrived two weeks earlier). They seem to be about 2" shorter than the measurements I sent, but after watching Raiders a whole lot of times, they seem to be pretty movie accurate (even allowing for wrinkling to shorten them a bit more), so maybe that's part of the 80's fit thing?

The only thing I don't love about my jacket is the short zip; even though I specifically asked for it to reach down to the bottom hem, apparently Wested don't offer one long enough to do that even on a 38S and it stops about 1 1/2" short of the hem.

Also I still haven't got my Wested pants, and now winter's setting in my legs are getting REALLY cold!

Yes i think it's might be part of the 80's fitting or just the style of the jacket. So what do you think i should to? Change them for a lenght i expected or keep it screen accurate?

The fact is that i only see they are slightly shorter than what they should be when i wear it with a tshirt (so i see my wrist) but when i wear the shirt under it the lenght looks very ok. It's not a coat after all, it must be a jacket

Anyway ... congratulations, erri! I still remember the moment then I first put my jacket on. A great feeling, and it's still my favourite jacket (and the only one I'm wearing regularly).

Yes, a little. How much depends on how long the sleeves are to begin with obviously!

I think the sleeves sort of memorise the wrinkles you put into them when wearing and so "shorten". If you are happy with the length with the wrinkling shown in your photo then it should be fine.

Your pics remind me a lot of the way the jacket fits here.

So, I think, that's a good thing!

Well i noticed all the time that the sleeves look "long" in the film is when the jacket is wide open or when the shoulders comes up (so the sleeves go down). So i think my lenght should be ok, i tried those positions and the sleeves "act" like in the movie

If it is a problem you can always get sleeves shortened locally - that wouldnt be too tricky a job I am sure. Give it a while before making any irreversable decisions though

Actually i would like them a bit longer... that's more complicated but i still have to wear it a bit around so i'll see if the lenght is ok. I believe it is but i need to try the jacket a day to be sure of it

erri, sounds like your sleeve length must be just about the exact same as mine, relative to the measurements we sent. I noticed the same thing when wearing mine with a T-shirt and again with a shirt. Having said that, the sleeves seem to hang about where my normal jacket does, so maybe it's just that I don't normally stand about looking at myself in the mirror with my arms by my side!

As a side note, if you watch the Raven bar fight scene (and Idol Grab, to a lesser extent), the jacket sleeves seem to be really short and expose a lot of wrist when Indy reaches out, so maybe the shorter sleeves are part of the 80's fit for more accuracy, but less modern style.

The most important thing is whether you like it or not though. I'd be interested to hear what Wested say about the shorter sleeve length if you decide to get them changed and if it IS part of the 80's cut, or if they were just ignoring the arm measurements people sent them that week!

In my recent emails to Wested they told me that they make the sleeves to the exact length you send them.

I was asking them if they add anything extra to length to make up for any loss of length due to wear.

I would think if they shorted you on the length it was a mistake.

Two inches is a pretty big gap.

I hate to spoil your enjoyment - but to be honest, those sleeves look far too short to me. Bear in mind also that the lambskin really does ride up as it wrinkles. Iknow how hard it is to send back a jacket after waiting so long (I've done it) - but it really is worth it in the long run.

Generally, if you send your jacket back you go to the top of the list rather than having to wait a month again. I had my jacket back within two weeks. Worth checking with Peter though.

Well actually the hat

My grandma this morning asked me if i was going to ride a horse

(not too far from the idea of Indy anyway

)

I just measured many times the sleeves and i don't think they are 25inches like i asked for. Anyway i will go for a 26.75 inches lenght. What do you think guys? Looking at my pics (expecially the one at the fountain) 1.75 inches more would be enough? Maybe better 2 inches more.

PS i'm very happy about the lenght of the back! That's perfect i think

If you feel the end of the sleeves, you should be able to feel about an
inch or two of leather that has been turned up into the sleeve.

This is there after they fold over the sleeve, and press it flat at the
desired measurement. Its also is there to attach the sleeve lining to.

You should be able to take your jacket to a local taylor, and have them
let the sleeve down some.

Your only problem will be that you will see where the crease was from
the original end of the sleeves. You can't help this.

This crease will never fully go away, but if you treat it with some
Pecards, or other leather treatment right way, and keep doing it every
month or so, the crease will be much less visible. And the fact that your
jacket is still new, and it hasn't really had time to get any distressing on
it, or fade any, that will help also.

But remember, there is only an inch or two of extra leather there, and
thats it. If you need more, you will be out of luck, and have to send
the jacket back for new sleeves.

Your sleeves look to be about 2 inches short to me. You want them to
be past your wrist by about an inch and a half initially. That would allow
for ride up once the sleeves get their wrinkles in them that take up some
of the length.

You may have to send yours back from what I see in the pictures. But
do not fear! If you have to send it back for a repair, it will usually go to
the front of the pack, and be back to you in just about 2 weeks if your
lucky.
