I didn't have to pay any extra for my gussets, btw.

It lists on the Wested site that their 5 pounds extra.

Yeah, I figured I wouldn't have any problems distressing the jacket because after I spend the money on all this my wife will have no problem dragging me behind a truck!

Indeed it says, but it seems that they forgot it. :P I only had to pay 165 pounds.

And here's my two piece ones:

Both jackets are Authentic Brown Lamb.

Back pleat elastic is free but not standard.

Wested adds four inches movement room to jackets, so a 44 jacket has a chest measurement of 48 inches.

So do you have to say that you want 2 piece gussets when you order it?

Yes. If you order gussets you'll get single piece ones. You have to specify that you want two piece ones.

VP, you've seen and handled both kinds...do see an advantage of a single over a double sided gusset? The Expedition has the double version, and it seems to be set deeper into the armpit than the Wested versions. I've not personally handled either of the Wested versions, so I don't know.

What do you think? :-k

I have only handled one Wested. I'm still not sure if the gussets help, but they look cool. :P

I know they're a great help on my Expedition when I'm cranking that big old steering wheel in the Plymouth. My sleeves don't ride half way up my arm...but like I said, they're two piece version, and WAY up in the pit of the jacket arm, and unless your hands are over your head, you can't even see them.

Thanks!
