The wested my friend is blowin' in the wind

Post by IllinoisJones »

There was a post earlier about the LC jacket blowing in the wind on the beach. My goat Raiders does this. Does anyone elses? Also is this natural for goat to do? :notworthy: I bow before your knowledge! Illinois :-k

My Wested blows, but it's lamb, so it's a wee bit lighter. The funny thing is that the day after I Pecarded(is that even a word) my jacket, it became a little stiff for a day. So when the wind was blowing, it blew in a big clump   It looked pretty funny, so I just kept it zipped up for the day.

My goat does too in fact it did just about 20 min ago when I was leaving my campus for work so I zipped up my jacket raven bar style and kept walking. :)

About the only one I can think that WOULDN'T blow in the wind much would be a heavily Pecarded standard cowhide, simply due to the sheer weight of the hide! :-k

They ALL blow in the wind. It's not an inherent property of any particular hide or material.

Reminds me of an old geography teacher I once had. He took the class out into the quad and pointed to the sky, "Anyone see thet blue air over there..." anyone who nodded got a clip round the ear! :)

Blowing in the wind? That's a new one.
For a small charge I will sew lead weights in the hem of the jacket to hold it down with maybe the odd metal coat hanger shaped as a stiffener.
OR: A small sections of elastic on the back lining that hooks onto the pants belt.
OR: Don't go out in the wind
OR: Walk backward in the wind
OR: Wear the jacket back to front
OR: Best of all as the man said ZIP IT.

Cheers
