Vented AB sweatband...kinda,sorta

Post by Fedora »

I had a request to put the name "Scoundrel" on a sweat for a member here. After I did it, I thought, wow, a vented sweat!! Here she is, along with a front view of the hat. Sorry for the blur. http://public.fotki.com/Fedora/hats/name.html

No, that's real dirt, from a real fight.

No, I didn't use Fuller's Earth, I used good old Mother Earth.

The hat you're thinking of got dirty because I had it on my noggin when I got into a fight. You want to know how to get it looking that way? Sit on it, kick it around, fold it up, RUB SOME DIRT IN IT .... That's more or less what happened to it in the fight.

Hahahaha...that looks GREAT, Steve, THANK YOU! :D  I saw the pic of the hat as well after that in your album - it's simply beautiful...I can't WAIT to wear it!

As to WHY we chose 'Scoundrel'...well...the more accurate descriptions were pretty long, and foul-mouthed. Scoundrel seemed to sum it up pretty well. Okay, seriously, I couldn't decide on just a short nickname or initials, but when Steve said a few more characters were cool, my scoundrel-sense kicked into gear...

Thank you so much for plugging away through thick and thin down there, Steve. You are a very DEDICATED master-craftsman. I shall wear it with PRIDE, and always remember that you didn't let anything slow you down. ;)

Your workshop has now superceded Graceland on my list of places to visit in the South! (Man, I hope you know that's a compliment... ;))

(Hmm...scoundrelly thought coming...I know 'SCOUNDREL' is not in the front, but gosh, if that were in the front of the hat, then whenever I took it off I'd have it written backwards on my forehead...hmm...this has possibilities...we may have to get 'BINK' stamped backwards in his next hat right in front so we know who he is when he takes his hat off. ;))

Uh-oh...might need to put a few more letters in there, like 'ONE OF THE OTHER scoundrelS'....or maybe just 'NOT BINK'. ;)

You just like aiming your whip at his head, Holly. That's okay, I'd do the same thing.

bink, the funny thing is Jerry needs no help spinning a hat. It's all him. It's quite a talent to spin a fedora with a whip. A trick I haven't mastered yet.

Bzzzt! The answer we were looking for was actually 'Alka-Seltzer', but you did great, you've got 134 points, you win the combination juicer-defroster-toaster-icepick, and thank you for playing! (insert cheery jingle here)
