Nylon whips are good, but it depends on the whipmaker.Indiana Heith wrote:Whats The Site For Buyin' Nylon Whips?? Is Nylon Whips Good for Regular use??

Try contacting Rhett Kelley. I am very pleased with the nylon I bought from him.

In another thread, Sergei had recommended Tim Bass and also mentioned that Tim had won a nylon whip-making contest in Houston a couple of weeks ago. And, the price is enticing compared to a leather one.
I have been corresponding with Tim all week long in order to make sure my order is correct the first time. His communication is timely, sincere, and it feels like Tim wants to get all the details up front so he can make a quality product.
Since I will be a brand spanking new whip novice, I want to learn first on a less expensive nylon before investing in a leather whip. So, I am having a custom Indy brown nylon bullwhip made. I mention custom because Tim Bass' nylon whips don't have a wrist strap (is that the right term?) and I would like mine to have one.
Shop around and decide for yourself. If you want to check it out, Tim Bass' website is
www.basswhips.com
Let us know it works out.

Hey, speaking of nylon whips. Ok, of an Indyesque whip.....
What is the length of that wrist strap (like, say, on a DM)? I'm just thinking that it might be about six inches (nothing to base that on) but I'd like to make sure before I give Mr. Bass the complete go-ahead on my whip.
I know the ball was eight inches, right Sergei?
Thank you ahead of time for your input!
