Well how much did you pay for it? The beaver is over $200 and the rabbit was around $150ish.

2- Will you bash it yourself?

Best Regards, Jer,
I actually did already order! Actually, Colby and I chose very similarly - let's Steve do the sculpting, and both chose to have it turned with a generic Raiders kind of bash & style. I think we even picked the same three scenes that we liked - temple, Raven, Cairo.

Only two differences I see - I ordered a beaver, and since I was sort of btwn the round oval and long oval, we decided on the round oval to see if we could get a bit of dynamic tension going in the hat to maybe warp that brim and bloom the mushroom a bit. ;) We'll see what happens when it gets here...trying not to think about it....argh!!!!

P.S. I have loved bashing and shaping my own hat...and I'm sure I will even play w/ this one quite a bit over time...but why miss a chance to have the master hatmaker do it first? 8)

At least now you and me can both compare how Rabbit and Beaver react to basically two exact styles. :D I consider my rabbit hat my fedora training wheels. :P

I plan on getting a gunbelt with holster, whip, and maybe a new pair of pants and shirt before I upgrade my hat to a beaver once everything is said and done eventually.

BTW I finally got brave enough to sit on my hat a couple times. Man does it really make some good reverse taper and it really softened up the hat.

Almost...but not conclusively. If we'd both picked an EXACT scene, maybe, but I think we both just asked him to get creative, didn't we? ;)

I'm not planning to sit on my hat. I'm either going to do it by accident  or just wait until my little house-apes do it for me. ;) So I give it a week.

Yeah, yours is beaver. The thing is, I have sent out beaver hats in the past when the customer ordered rabbit. I upgraded the hat for no charge. I had to quit doing it when the bank account for the shop got depleted!! And, I never told most folks that I did so. This was early on, last year when I first started before it became apparent that I could not continue to do so and stay in business. Yeah, I know it is stupid, from a business point of view, but I had to learn it on my own.  Oh, I only count 34 hats above. Where's the other 466? Fedora
