I have begun my journey...
Okay, guys and gals, I took a leap from the lion`s head and ordered an Adventurebuilt this weekend. Fedora was very patient and co-operative and even though it ws just thru e-mail, it was a pleasure dealing with him. I am going for a brown beaver felt Streets of Cairo hat.
I need to find a picture to send him of my favorite scene(right where Indy runs out from behind the corner to shoot at the truck driver). I realize that hat is really beaten but DARNIT I LOVE IT!!!! Now is the worse part..the wait. Hopefully, my digital camera will be fixed by the time it arrives so I can share. Glad to join the AB club FINIALLY
Have agreat day all-

Nice one You will find the pic your looking for here - http://www.regular-guy.com/fedora.html - right side, second from the bottom
Congrats!! I'm anxious to see an SOC bash done by Steve. SOC is the scene that I lean toward when I bashed my hat.

Gorak, are you anticipating turning it 90 degrees, like the Borsalino you turned 90 degrees, months before I ever turned a hat? That much turning might not be need with the stovepipe AB. Keep us updated. Hardly a day goes by when I don't think about ordering an AB, myself. I would have long ago if I didn't have the pork pie theory issue. ...If anyone misses Pagey, you can always see his face and hats at http://raidershat.com/ German PB and AB
He bought another hat from me a couple of weeks ago and told me then he was leaving, and to let him know of any news on Indy 4, and the HJ that I have been promised to see this year, etc. He just said it was a run in with another member here, but I did not pry. Hopefully he will be back one day. That guy sure can style a Raiders fedora!! FedoraHe pulled the plug on himself for the second time here, no reason given.

Pagey had an incredible bash! Everytime I thought about not getting another hat,I would immediately change my mind after seeing pictures of his hat.
3Thousbucks- Fedora is experimenting with me on a few ideas to try`n get that problem solved. He has been very patient with me and decided to give it shot to make me a hat that will pop right on my head without me having to re-ribbon, reline, and re-sweatband it. The more I saw others hats the more I felt like I was making abig deal out of nothing and that I should of just asked for a hat and trusted his work (as they all look so wonderful) but Mr. Delk made me feel confident in his desire to challenge my head issue and that just makes me trust him all the more. Trust me, you will be the first one to know the results...I have always followed your theories (even the ones I thought were crazy like wire in the brim, which by the way, after much distressing, my hat got that crinkle naturally0 and have alot of respect for your total dissection of our favorite hat.
