Here's a quick way to do in your head:
Just double the celsius, subtract 10% (you don't have to be exact) then add 32 (= Farenheit).
NON PLAUDITE. MODO PECUNIAM JACITE.
Best Regards,
See, I was a math major...so the 9/5C+32 conversion I do in my head. Guess who gets to figure out the bill when we go to lunch. And sometimes makes a profit.
Even though we're having a mini-heat wave, it's getting cool again at night...so crumpled up in the back of the truck to build wrinkles during the day, wearing it at night.
Yesterday I crashed into a lamppost with my bicycle. The left sleeve of the Wested got two nice scratches, natural distressing. I'm okay, nothing got broken but the thighs are still hurting. The lamppost almost fell over when 220 pounds hit it 20 miles an hour.
I was in the city with my partner and monther-in-law picking up a new car, and this 40 something guy and his lady where walking behind me. All I could hear was.
Man: "It's a Wested"
Woman: "A What?"
Man: "A Wested."
Woman: ??
Man: "The jacket."
And the guy never saw me from the front.
I was so proud and couldn't help smiling to myself.
Perhaps the inclusion of the MKVII added to the recognition.
I wonder if he's a gearhead, if so you should have said hi. I don't bite.
I have visions of this guy convincing his wife..."I gotta get me one of those."

I had a similar situation a couple of years ago. A man and his wife walked into one of my stores -- he was wearing a lamb Wested....I made the comment...."Is that a Wested you are wearing?" He replied...." Good Eye." So we started a conversation about the jackets, etc. and he stated that he was about to order one for his wife. Kind of a small world, but it certainly is fun to run accross people w/similar interests! W>
LOL, erm going grey, about 5 foot 7/8 dazzling bird on his hip, wearing a long crombie that's all i know. Didn't sound Geordie by the way he pronounced Wested (Westid).
