Could it be?

Post by Kilgour Trout »

Folks: After watching LC again for the umteenth time, I'm really drawn to wonder if the LC Lid is a dimensional cut brim or not. The reason I say this is due to the recent post showing HJ's new Indy lid with a dimensional cut and then a pic of the regular Poet with a 3 inch brim all round.

If you look at the Venice pier scene, the sides are really high and the front brim seems waaaay out there.

Could this be? :? Or am I seeing things....

It just wouldn't be surprising to have had HJ grab a bunch of standard poets and send them off without the care of the original movie. They might have thought, Hey Indy's a success whatever lid "Who's really noticing the nuances"

To me it looks like a dimensional cut - even though the sides are curled. A three inch side brim is really VERY noticeable.

HJ will send you an uncut, unbashed Poet if you so desire. That's how I got my latest, through Todd's Costumes. I cut the brim myself. Believe me, it just doesn't look the same uncut, with the sides curled up. Too cowboy.
