C.O.A.

Post by Doh »

Can someone please post a photo of their Certificate of Authenticity?

Here's the deal: when my Wested arrived in August, the certificate was nowhere to be found in the packaging, so I emailed Gemma. She immediately* responded that she would mail me a replacement, but over a month later, no certificate. I wouldn't be shocked to learn that it was lost in the mail coming from England.

Anyway, I didn't buy the jacket as a "collector's item"; I just wanted a nice leather jacket, so why not get Indy's? Still, I'd be curious to see what the certificates actually look like. Thanks!

*(seriously, I got an email from her about 10 minutes after the one I sent!)

Actually, the one I got with my Jacket in June was a little different than that one. The part about the "authentic reproduction..." is in a different font.

If the market does become flooded with fake COAs... well, to quote Bart Simpson:

Email wested for another, just explain the situation. Yeah, I agree with Harrison, those pictures should be removed IF Peter asks. Hopefully he will pop in here sometime soon...

I was just curious to see what they look like, so if this thread is deleted I certainly won't be offended.

Like I said above, having the C.O.A. isn't that big a deal to me; I won't be reselling the jacket. If anything, if years from now I want to get rid of it, I'll donate it somewhere and buy a NEW one.

PS to Harrison: love the avatar!

im sure if someone was really going to scam jackets with COD they'd find a way to get their hands on a real certificate to scan in themselves anyway.

but yeah..i d9ont think they should be scanned already for them to get a hold of =P not that i think people would anyway. but then maybe i have too much trust in people

I can't see what harm it can do, I mean who really cares about getting a cert with their jacket, it's not like you're gonna carry it around in your pocket to prove that you've got a genuine Wested, the cut and quality do that for you.

Now if you intend to frame your jacket and hang it in your Indy-Room, then that is another matter.... mmmmm, that gives me an idea...

Hey, guess what I got in today's mail? Yep, my COA!

They look pretty good; I'm quite impressed with the lamination.

So Peter and/or Gemma if you're reading this, thanks a bunch!!
