A size 8 Indy fedora

Post by Fedora »

Strange how things go, but I have orders for 4, size 8 hats. This one here has a 6 1/8 open crown, 3 1/8 x 2 3/4 brim!!! I just had to show it. A hat like this was made for watering horses. It is indistinguishable from a 5 gallon bucket from the underside. :D Here she is, right before I boxed it up a few minutes ago. http://public.fotki.com/Fedora/hats/size_8.htmlFedora

I would like to see this guy in his Indy Fedora. "A Five Gallon Bucket"

Is this guy a Giant ?

Hope he post some pics...?

That's about what my son-in-law wears (7 7/8, actually), and he's 6 feet 4 inches.

I think one of those size 8s is coming my way; it's not for me it's for my brother, honest! He was oddly proud when Steve confirmed that (at the time of ordering) it was going to be The World's Largest Adventurebuilt, although from the sounds of it that might have been pretty short lived!

I'm ordering one too that isn't much smaller and neither of us are giants! We figured that if we exchange hats at Christmas, no-one can complain how much we spent on them!

The best thing about having a big head is that it's prevented either of us being able to buy any inferior offerings in the past :cough: Dorfman :cough:

So Steve, will my brother's still be the biggest, or is one of the other freaks of nature going to beat him?

Before I saw Monkeybrain's post, I was gonna write, "Geez, I thought the guy who played Lurch was dead!"

By now I won't 'cause it'd be rude.

(In case people were wondering, Lurch was the giant butler in "The Addams Family" TV show.)

Um, yeah... that's only 1/4" larger than my size (7 3/4), and I'm only 5'9".

Suddenly a 6 5/8 feels very very small indeed

To paraphrase Sallah, "...why, the fedora is ENORMOUS!". Doesn't matter how big it is, it is still a great looking hat, and kudos to Steve for being able to provide to those with that size. Cheers!!

Lol!

Just heard back from Fedora and my brother's is STILL the Largest AB in the World! I know someone on here ordered those other three to try and steal his enormous crown after I let slip in another post that he had it. Come on admit it...

My brother decided against initials in the sweat on the grounds that, and I quote "I'll be able to tell which one is mine by virtue of its enormity". He talks like that sometimes. I blame the fact that his massive head is full of brains, or something...

Oh yeah, I also found out our hats are being sent out today, so I may have pics soonish, provided I can find a camera with a really wide angle lens!

_, apparently yours was the biggest until my brother started some kind of hat size wars! Mine's about 7 5/8 I think, so it's not exactly tiny either.

Oddly we have some Welsh blood on my mother's side so maybe there's something in that. Hey, maybe we're related!

Hmm... :-k ...how do you say 'pumpkin head' in Welsh?

KIDDING! KIDDING! My head is oddly pointy, like a Klingon. Ouch. #-o

Lol!

My brother's is oddly long, like an Alien from the films, whereas mine is perfectly normal shaped, obviously...
