The airsoft revolvers
In the "Todd's Holster" thread I mentioned the airsoft revolvers, but I don't want it to go too off-topic, so I'm going to show them here.
I scanned the box - as I said before, these two are not, as far as I know, available in the states until sometime in '06. You can get them in asia, but I've no idea where. If the others by the company are any indication, retail should be around $30.
These use the hammer to cock, and fit the airsoft pellets into shells which you place in the revolving cylinde r.
If anyone CAN find these for sale, please let me know. The company is called UHC, the model numbers are posted below the pics.
For those of you not familiar with airsoft, they are (for the most part) 1/1 scale replica guns that shoot small plastic pellets up to a few hundred feet for some of the better models, though most spring powered guns have a Max range of 50-100 feet or so, and often not very accurate past 30-50. They shoot pretty straight, most load using clips or other ways equal to the real gun, and they were originally designed to be used indoors (they don't break glass). Basically, it's cheaper paintball without the mess and with more realistic looking guns.
I've got great luger and a very nice Mauser broomhandle, among others... these are a great way to get affordable, very detailed replica weapons

These are definitely spring-loaded. No gas or batteries required. I have another by the same company and it is spring loaded. The hammer only requires the thumb to cock it, but it is pretty heavy - you can't fan the hammer like in the westerns.
It's about as powerful as the luger (if you've got the one that has the add-on stock) but maybe a little less accurate.

Oh, yeah, I love it... may I suggest something? Get some flat black spraypaint and a paper towel... spray the handle and then wipe it off quickly, in the direction of the wood-grain. This will make it look much more real.
As to the guns, all the others that they offer cost right around $30, so I'm guessing that these will be the same. I mean, they even have the little gold medallions on the handle! It may not be the model Indy uses in the movie, but I think it's just the type he'd use if he got his hands on one...

FOUND THEM!!
Appearantly, "UHC" stands for Unicorn Hobby Corporation. I found the site, and the 4" model. There's an icon in the upper left of the toolbar that translates the site to English.

####. I spoke too soon. It looks like this is the wholesale end of the operation. Here's another link, though. It's the UHC division specifically dealing in the guns. Hit "Showroom" and then "Revolver air guns" on the left menu. There are no prices or ordering instructions, but you can email them.

EDIT AGAIN:
I found this email address on the site just now. It allows you to bypass that long form you'd have to fill out if you hit the "contact" icon.

Marui and UHC are the most famous toygun producers (i have a UHC catalogue somewhere, i'll find it) but it's rare to find those models in most of their european dealers.
Anyway good find... i still cant believe at the price but mh yes maybe it's what i paid for my 2 hop-up guns i bought as a child. Anyone interested in a 1911? lol

If anyone is interested i still have a desert eagle and a 1911 with hop up system. Absolutely unharmful. I used to have a M16-A1 and play with my friends and no one has ever hurted. They are made for games (we call it soft-air) not for hurt!
Anyone interested i could sell them away. I really do nothing with them anymore and they are absolutely legal. Here they are considered toys, in other countries also as sport stuff but no where as weapons

Hey Erri, me snd my friends also play games like that and we have some bullet with paint in it! They are great and make playing much easier. Here in germany you can find them on ebay quite often. And I can just tell you not to get a M 16, because they're very unhandy! You should rather buy a Mp 40, cause this one is goodlooking, handy and (the most important point!) Indysque!
BTW- How much Joule has you Colt 1911?

We didn't use the paintballs anyway but those 6 millimeters plastic little balls. You can see them in my ebay autcion http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... %3AIT&rd=1 (One of the last items left of my previous hobbies. That price is including shipment in italy. If anyone is interested i can make it free also for other countries for the same price just for cow members)
Very funny sport anyway. I'll post pic soon if i find any
Joule of my colt? I think it's in the legal parameters. I never modified my sporting weapons
:post: OK i found a photo of that age. I would like to underline that the sport i used to practice was just a hobby and funny way to spend some afternoons with friends, it doesn reflect myself at all. I'm a pacifist and i want to make it clear .. in fact i'm not praticing it anymore
here is the pic http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y157/e ... oftair.jpg
